King Evander chuckled softly as she spoke and he brushed a lock of hair behind her ear.
“I'll be fine. I don't mind being alone, I prefer it actually.” He admitted. “Besides, I think that you need to spend some time with your daughter. She is probably wondering why you've been gone all day, and that's exactly what I'd like to know as well.”
“Oh, good point.” Victoria murmured. “You're right, I'd like to see how she's doing.”
Victoria moved to stand up from the couch, but the king tightened his hold on her and pulled her back onto the couch beside him.
“Don't leave yet.” He whispered against her skin, nuzzling his nose against her neck.
He kissed her softly.
