"Nothing really happened," Victoria stated flatly. She felt a small smile creep up on her lips as she remembered her conversation with Evander.
She could remember clearly his face when he asked her what had happened. It had been filled with fear, shock, and anger.
And when she had told him everything about her parents and brothers, his face had lightened considerably.
"What does your life look like?" she asked him suddenly. She had been wondering about his life ever since she had begun spending time with him.
