Whatever the case may have been, Victoria didn't let it bother her. He had already given her the chance to apologize and tell him that she wouldn' t do it again, after all.
So, she wasn't going to make things more awkward between them than they already were. Besides, if he didn't want to talk to her, then she could understand why he would prefer not to have her near him. She'd have to get used to not being near him anyway.
No matter how much she wanted to stay close to him and be with him, she knew that she couldn't.
She couldn't live a lie with him; not when he was suffering so much and he deserved to be able to confide in someone who cared about him.
For a while longer, Victoria stood there silently, studying him. Eventually, though, she decided that she had spent long enough.
