Aorumm stood in his chair thoughtfully. His temple throbbing with anger and resentment. His brother was a cunning bastard. He had come and snatched the creature right from under him. He had been so close to getting rid of that awful embarrassment. The son of a b***h that had lay with his wife and made a mockery out of him, in bed and in battle. His fury arose as the thought passed his mind, and a large bang sounded in the room, as he smacked the table next to him with his fist.
- f**k! - he shouted.
- s**t, what happened here?
Aorumm lifted his eyes from the floor, his corneas blood red from rage. Looking for the impertinent soul that had interrupted him. As he identified the person, his rage subsided. Just a foot inside his office was his baby brother, all baffled, looking around at his office.
Fineas looked at his brother sitting on the velvet-bloodred chair, his short, curled-light brown messy hair cascading to his eyes. Still wearing the dark cloth he usually reserved for hearings, looking at him with a murderous gaze.
The room was dark and gloomy. His beautifully carved Mahogany desk was split in half, destroyed, documents everywhere.
- What the f**k are you doing here, Finy?
- Well, I came to see if you wanted to go to Gregory’s tavern for some enjoyment, is dance night!
Fineas said that last bit while bouncing his body in a mockery of a dance, as hope and joy left his whole body, a bright smile adorned his handsome face. Fineas was, like most Aorumm brothers, well built, blond, and grey-eyed, with a spark inside them that looked like a living galaxy. Those same eyes were often used to get the attention of the beings he encountered, and get them to do what he wished with them.
Aorumm knew very well the effect of those eyes. He had them. They were the same as their mother. Some, however, like Calus, had a more amber-looking eyes. Thinking about it, Calustrácia had been so mad at him for wanting to kill her favorite toy that she had been neglecting his needs.
- f**k why not? Since I don’t seem to be getting any luck here.
Aorumm left his chair and teleported some new clothes to his body. Some nice cotton white pants and shirt, completing it with some laced black shoes. His hair instantly became clean and styled, his curls now neatly arranged with only one lazy tuff falling beside his right eye.
Fineas expression hardened, and an exaggerated, sad expression took over his face.
- Problems in paradise?
- f**k off!
Aorumm pushed his brother against the book shelf, resulting in Fineas getting hit in the head by the “Evolution of the kirgwatin and their reproductive habits”. In pain, he elevated his head to be hit in the face, right in his nose, by the “Philosophical parchments of Tuát - Volume I”.
- Au! Not the face!
- Don’t whine and come already.
The tavern was a not so shabby warehouse-looking establishment about a kilometer from the Sapient temple, Aorumm and Calus house. Lively and full of common ordinary beings, it was able to hold about forty seated people inside, and a wood three by four stage elevated stage. It was a popular spot for the soldiers and travelers in Clemea.
At this time, late afternoon, it was full of soldiers waiting for the evening show, where the dancers opened up the stage with a daring number. Fineas found them a table near the stage and asked for their finest wine, and that meant a below average grape juice looking liquid, but strong never the less, and he hadn’t come here to appreciate the wine either way.
- Lord Aorumm, and little lord Fineas, very nice seeing here. Will you be asking for the usual little master?
A petit, black-haired human girl, with brownish skin and voluptuous curves leaned over Aorumm grabbing his shoulder massaging it. As she spoke, never did the vivid blue eyes left Aorumm’s lips. As if she was daring him to connect them with hers. Giving him a once over, and then finally landing on his eyes.
As he had not moved, or shoved her hand from his body, she became a little more daring, giving him a peck in his cheeks, just to then create a little distance by letting go of him, and directing her gaze at Fineas.
- Laila, my dear, still calling me that. I have told you many times that if you let me, I will show you just how “little” this lord is.
Fineas moved his hand to grab her, but was to slow. One moment she was there and the other she was in Aorumm’s lap. Grabbed by her small waist, Aorumm was already tongue deep into her collar, and in a skillful smooth movement, she was turned around and said tongue buried in her mouth.
Disappointed, Fineas got back in his chair, and called for the bartender. He had been trying to get his hands on Laila for three weeks now. Lucky bastard of a brother. Luckily, there were more fish in the sea that night. He requested a beer from the bartender and left, his gaze locked on the group of girls giggling two tables over.
