Before I can answer, the limo pulls up at the theater and we’re instantly surrounded by the crowd of fans and paparazzi. Allie sucks in a breath as we look through the tinted windows at the red carpet that awaits us. I take her hand. “Ready?” She squeezes it. “Yes. But are you?” I glance back out there, at everyone who will be watching tonight, and nod. “With you at my side, yes.” The driver opens the door and I step out first and give everyone a quick wave. The onlookers shout and cheer and snap photos, but I turn back and reach down to help Allie from the car. She steps out gracefully and moves to my side, staring at the crowd as cameras flash and people yell my name. She must be completely overwhelmed, but all she does is gaze up at me with her bright smile and my nerves settle. We
