What is this now? Grey thought as he looked at something in front of him. There, a hole that shimmered with blue light and pulsed with energy stood.
He went closer to it and touched it lightly with his hands.
[Player Grey has discovered the first dungeon in the world]
[Player Grey has been awarded 5 global points]
A dungeon, he thought.
I didn't expect to see one this early, he thought.
[Dungeon name: Embermaw Cavern(common)]
[Difficulty: Easy]
[Would you like to enter: Yes/No]
Why is no even an option? Of course, I want to enter, he thought as he pressed yes.
[3 seconds until transmission]
Grey quickly summoned all his thralls back to his domain as he got ready to enter.

Then the world folded, and Grey was no longer there.
Then he saw himself in a place filled with magma veins and burning tunnels that breathed fire like a sleeping titan. The air is thick with ash, and the stone itself glows faintly red with residual heat.
[As the pioneer of this dungeon, exp gain is increased by 25% for 12 hours].
Before he could fully register what had happened, he heard a screech from behind him.
[Lava crawler, Level: 10, skill: Molten trail: Leaves behind burning ground]
Level 10, this is outrageous, he thought.
How can ordinary mobs be level 10? How strong would the boss be, then, he thought.
With a snap of his finger, the death domain was opened, and thralls filled the entire field.
Attack, he commanded.
The thralls lunged ferociously at the crawler.
The crawler, seeing them coming towards it, ran in the opposite direction.
Then, in its path, fire began to burn, and any thralls that stepped on it were engulfed in flames.
But instead of stopping, the thralls moved forward, oblivious to the pain from the burning.
The crawler that had already stopped running due to exhaustion was soon overwhelmed by the thralls.
Some of the thralls gained the molten trail skill, but not all.
He also gained a drop, heated carapace. It was used for making flame-resistant armour.
Grey placed the drop into the inventory, and raised the t****l and moved forward, killing any crawler that approached him.
He even saw another monster type, blazing imp. They shot fireballs to attack, but it required a 1-minute cooldown, making it easy to m******e them.
We finally killed our way to the boss, he thought. However, it becomes increasingly difficult to level up the higher you are.
Grey had killed over 300 monsters since the time he killed the direwolf matriarch, but he was still at level 15.
Grey looked at the boss's room, held back from opening the door, and waited to recover his mana.
This should be enough, he thought as he stood up from the t****l beneath him.
He marched towards the door and pointed towards it. Immediately, over a dozen thralls rushed towards it, pushing it with their strength.
The door creaked open, revealing a dragon-like creature in its centre.
[Ash Drake, Level: 20, Skills: Fire burst: Deals massive AOE flame burst, Molten scales: Increases defence.
]
As the drake locked eyes with Grey, it let out a roar that shook the cave. With a flap of its wings, it rose into the sky, ready for the confrontation.
With a quick dive, it swoops into the ranks of the thralls, easily killing over 12 thralls.
Seeing that it was vulnerable due to its descent, Grey quickly ordered the thralls to surround it, forming a tight wall that enclosed it.
The thralls used all their attack methods, but they were only able to restrict it for less than a minute before it burst out using a skill, Flame Burst.
All the thralls that were on its body surface were burnt to ashes, and even those in a 2-meter radius were killed, although not burnt.
Seeing they were at a disadvantage, Grey recalled them and sent the direwolf matriarch.
With a roar, the drake was stunned for just a second.
But that was enough as the t****l swung her sharp claws at its neck, drawing blood, while poisoning it under the effect of Grey's skull.
The drake, enraged by the pain, swung its tail in a sweeping arc, throwing both the direwolf and the female away.
Its eyes were locked onto Grey, who was busy giving commands to the lesser thralls.
Grey, seeing the drake heading for him, commanded the thralls to shield him while he escaped.
When the distance was enough, Grey saw that the drake was still busy dealing with the thralls, and had killed over 40% of them in just 30 seconds.
Corpse Plague Eruption, he shouted.
Instantly, the numerous t****l corpses on the floor exploded, but no flames were seen; instead, black energy began to wrap around the drake, stealing its life-force, while growing stronger.
Soon, the drake fell.
Its body and skin were pale, as if blood was sucked dry from it.
[lv 15 >> lv 17].
Then, a weapon also dropped.
[Flame whip(common): Deals 10% fire damage.]
A whip, this should make a good weapon for, wait.
She does not have a name. How could I have forgotten something this simple? He thought.
Maybe Alice, he thought.
He planned to make her one of his strongest thralls because he felt indebted to her.
He called her closer and handed the whip to her.
Then after that, he walked towards the centre of the castle, to the place the drake was guarding when they entered earlier.
Moving closer, what he saw was a shining orb, no bigger than a pearl.
It shone with blue energy, distorting the space around it.
He placed his hands gently on it, and then he received a prompt.
[Level 20 common dungeon core.]
[Harvest dungeon core: Yes/No]
Although he was not sure what the use of the dungeon core was, he instinctively chose yes.
As he chose yes, the world around him twisted, and he was back at the entrance of the dungeon, or where it used to be.
Now, there was no dungeon gate there; only a vast expanse of land was in his sight.
Then he saw the core in one of his inventory slots.
What do I do with the core, he thought.
Then he couldn't help but think of the crimson tower that was descending soon.
He felt he would get his answers at the Crimson Tower event.
I guess I just have to wait a bit more, he thought as he headed back to the city area, where the tower was going to descend in his server.
Elsewhere, on another server.
A boy, looking no older than 18, had just finished killing the cataclysm boss, an orc.
The orc looked perfectly fine, its body unharmed.
But if a strong person who was around level 150 was here, they would see the threads that had cut the orc's lifeforce directly.
So strong, I wonder how that Grey was able to kill the boss that fast, he thought.
Then the system triggered announcements on his server.
