LUCIEN THALOR

1039 Words
At the same time Grey entered the 10th floor, Lucien also entered in calm strides. So, this is the 10th floor. How was it able to develop to this extent in just a few hours, he thought as he looked at the several complexes and buildings that piled up in the centre. Soon, a white light illuminated his path, taking him to the red pillar that gave completion rewards. [Player has marked the tenth floor as his respawn point.] [Player has earned SSS-level trial reward] [Player has earned (Weapon: Voidreaver: Can instantly switch between a sword{speed}, spear{ranged}, or a scythe{AoE}. Every 10 seconds of battle, the weapon phases through all matter for 3 seconds. Every strike leaves a mark that ignores defence and explodes after 5 seconds.) Earned 50,000 TP.] Oh, so there was a reward on the tenth floor, as expected of a game-like system. It couldn't have just made us pass trials for nothing. I should check around first, before leaving the tower. Lucien walked around, his eyes scanning the various buildings that filled the space. Each one was built by the players, using TP. Some were shaped like shops, others training halls, and even lounges were present. As expected of humans, even in this apocalyptic world, they are still thinking of how to profit, he thought as he moved. Lucien kept walking. This wasn't his goal He turned toward the central district. As he stepped closer, the structures changed. Cleaner lines, smoother surfaces. These weren't made by players. They belonged to the tower itself He crossed into a broad courtyard where a single pillar rose from the ground. Around it, four buildings were arranged in a circle, each glowing with a different hue. Above the central monument, silver text hovered [Core Functions Unlocked] To his left was a large, open dome filled with floating books and scrolls [Skillbook Archive] He walked closer. A panel flickered to life beside him. [Flicker Step – 10,000 TP][Pulse Guard – 8,000 TP][Glass Veil Domain – 100,000 TP] Every entry had a brief description and purchase option. The variety was wide, and the categories ranged from common to unique. He scanned a few but didn't stop A few steps away, another building housed rows of suspended weapons, some rotating in display, others locked behind crystal panels [Weapon and Gear Repository] Each item came with stats, TP cost, and upgrade paths. A separate terminal offered blueprint creation for those with the patience and skill. Lucien moved on Ahead, a massive obsidian ring loomed. Energy swirled in its centre like a slow spiral. A panel beside it read [Tower Exit Gate] He gave it a passing glance. Not yet On the far right was a modest stone shrine. No lights, no guards, no shimmer. Just a simple pedestal with a faint glow [Guild centre] Lucien stared at it for a long moment. He hadn't expected this. The 10th floor wasn't just a checkpoint. It was a foundation. A launchpad. Grey was staring at the message that popped up on his screen after creating his private space. [You have created a private space] [As the first creator of a private space, future improvements and upgrades require 20% less TP.] [To create hunting grounds, TP is needed.] [Types of monsters are determined by fused dungeon cores] [To expand the space, dungen cores are needed] Grey dispelled all the notifications with a thought, while marvelling at the various functions of dungeon cores. Then a thought surfaced in his head. If I can create private hunting grounds and infinitely revive them, won't I have an endless amount of t****l soldiers, he thought. But his dream was crushed by the system. [After clearing the hunting ground, it takes 7 hours to respawn all monsters] System, create a hunting ground, he said. Where does the player want to place it? Grey looked around the island and finally chose the edge of the island at the back. Soon, a glowing portal was erected there. It looked like the dungeon's portal; the only difference was that this one had a softer shimmer on it. I might as well use this to refill my thralls, he thought. Grey walked towards the portal while releasing Vulkrak from the death domain. As he entered, the same feeling washed over his body, and then he was back to the familiar scene of Embermaw Cavern. Grey ordered Vulkrak to attack on sight, while he stood calmly behind him. Soon, the first wave of Lava crawlers appeared. Vulkrak cast chainflame, and all of them were incinerated by the blazing fire. [Gained 20 agl x5] [Vulkrak has gained a new skill: Molten trail] A system notification chimed. So, the new skill has effects even when the monster is not killed by me, he thought. Now that I remember, I have a sword also, he thought as he retrieved the sword from his inventory. He called Vulkrak back and gave the sword to him. Then he revived all the thralls and sent them back to his domain. They continued forward, with Vulkrak killing them, and Grey reviving them. Soon, they reached the boss's room. The ashdrake sat majestically as ever in the centre of the room. Hearing the door opening, it let out a loud roar and lunged at Vulkrak. Seeing Vulkrak easily dodged, and slashed at its exposed neck, killing it easily. That was fast, he thought while remembering how difficult it was on the first run. As expected, the level gap is too wide. Then, as he was about to revive the boss, something he didn't expect happened there. A blinding red light erupted from both the drake and Vulkrak. Then, they began to float above the floor until they were at the same level. With a strong force, their bodies collided, destroying half of the room easily. [Your t****l is evolving, and needs 50 heated carapace to continue.] Seeing the required material, Grey felt relieved that he had it. He dipped his hand into his inventory. When he had brought enough, he was confused and had no choice but to ask the system how he was going to use it. But without doing anything, they began to float towards them, and fused into the twirling fire.
