Grey found a hotel to spend the night, not wanting the crazy time dilation of his space to make the day feel excessively long.
It was morning, and the sun had just started to rise.
The room was quiet, just a simple bed, a wooden chair, and a small window.
He stood, stretched and left the room.
Downstairs, the lobby was empty except for the innkeeper wiping a counter.
Grey gave a small nod as he walked past.
The streets outside were still waking up. A few stalls were opening, some climbers were already geared up and heading towards the 11th floor gate.
Grey walked slowly through the early light.
There was no rush.
He passed by the same food stall from yesterday. The girl from before was sweeping the floor.
He kept going.
Soon, the gate came into view.
It stood quietly at the end of the road, faintly pulsing with light.
A few climbers were ahead of him, already stepping through.
Grey walked up to it without saying much, stopping just before the edge.
He looked at it for a moment, then he reached out and placed a hand on it.
The gate accepted him instantly, and his figure vanished into the light.

As the count reached 1, a portal appeared 500 meters away from Grey.
Soon, lizards shaped like humans began puring out, until they reached 50.
[Lizardman Grunt, Level 27, skills: Spear Thrust: Light stab, chance to bleed, Block: Basic damage reduction.]
Just these, Grey said as he yawned.
With a wave of his hand, Flarer flew towards them.
It casually breathed fireballs that easily burnt each ones.
While all of this was going on, Grey took the leisure to check his stats again.

I have truly become op, Grey thought as he smiled to himself.
Nothing is ever going to stop me, not even the system, he vowed to himself.
[First wave cleared, player can either rest fr 20 minutes, or move to the next wave.]
The next wave, Grey said calmly.
Soon, the portal pulsed to life again, andmore lizardmen grunt poured out.
[Lizardman grunt] x75
Grey just smiled, the numbers not even making much difference to him.
Flarer attacked again, swift and decisive.
In less than 2 minutes, only scorched earth and lizard men corpses were left.
Grey did not revive the corpses, wanting to maximize the effects of his skill.
Continue, Grey said as Flarer dropped the loots from the corpses.
It contained only fangs and some minor healing glave.
[Lizardman grunt] x100, [Lizardman Warrior, level: 32, skills: Shield Bash: Stuns target for 1.5s, Power s***h: Wide arc attack, War Cry: Slight buff to nearby allies.] x20
A change in the monsters, i guess i wouldnt just be facing those useless grunts Grey thought.
This time around, Flarer and Molter attacked together.
Flarer went straight for the Warriors, while Molter attacked the grunts.
The warriors, seeing Flarer heading towards them charged straight at her in a formation, their shields raisd high in front of them.
As Flarer was about to breathe her fireball, the warriors raised their shields and charged.
The front line activated Shield Bash mid-run, crashing into her just as the flames formed.
The fireball broke apart in her throat, and she was pushed back slightly.
Grey didn't react, he just watched.
Molter, moving through the grunts, left glowing trails of fire across the ground. The moment the lizardmen stepped on them, their feet ignited. Some fell, and others kept moving, only to burn mid-charge.
Flarer recovered quickly, wings flaring wide.
She took to the air and let out another fireball, this time, directly above the shield wall.
It landed behind them, bursting into flame and forcing the warriors to split.
That was enough.
Molter circled around, dragging his burning trail into their path. The ground lit up beneath the warriors as they moved, fire l*****g at their legs.
One of the warriors tried to activate War Cry, but a fireball struck him before he could finish. His shield melted into the dirt.
Bit by bit, their numbers fell.
This is the true feeling of being poweful, Grey thought as he saw the way just two of his thralls were running amok among enemies that numbered over 100.
Two minutes later, it was done.
Molter stood at the edge of a curved trail of flames, the corpses of the grunts behind him.
Flarer landed near Grey, smoke curling from her beak.
She dropped the loot.
Just more fangs, and a cracked warrior shield
Next, Grey said before the system culd even chime.
[Player has passed he fifth wave, does he wish to continue]
After clearing the fifth wave, the system sent a notification.
Continue, Grey said without even considering it.
What was there to consider, till he reached the 5th wave, he only used his 2 weakest thralls, and had effortlessly passed.
The portal pulsed again, this time brighter than usual.
