Samantha's POV
"I still can't believe that my best friend could ever do such a cruel thing to me. I trusted her so much and I've always treated her as a sister. I thought she was my best friend. the person i could relay on." I sigh, sadly.
[FLASH BACK]
"Hey! Guess what?",
"Oh! Come on, you know I'm not that good at guessing. You can just tell me, what is it?." Erica replied.
Daniel just propose to me!!! And guess what? we are getting married!!!!" Samantha squealed happily.
"Wow! This is a great news. i can't believe that he finally propose to you. I'm so happy for you." Erica said.
"Thanks baby girl." Samantha replied back in a happy tone .
"Babe, I'm off to work. We will talk once I'm back." Erica said while she stood on her feet.
"Alright dear, Take care and bye." Samantha said.
Erica's POV,
I cant believe this! How dare Daniel propose to Samantha? Isn't he not aware of my love for him? How could he do this to me? how! how?! Just why in the world would he choose Samantha over me.- I cried out in pain.
No, I need to do something. I can't just sit and allow this opportunity slide away just like that
I grab my bag and left my office straightway to Daniel's company. Immediately I arrive there, I walk into the elevator and press 35. I waited patiently with a lot of things going through my mind. Once it opened, I walked out and sauntered directly towards his office. This is not my first time coming here so, it's not new to me.
Daniel is the type of man I would really love to get married to. Not only is he the most handsome guy but also one of the most richest guy in the country. He is the CEO of global company and many other more. His father also owns a lot of company's and fortunately, he gave all of his fortune and Companies to Daniel.
His secretary asked if i have an appointment with him. she ask this question with a smile on her face but her words annoy me
"Young lady what's your name?".
I replied her “question with a question .”
she answered confidently “it's Binta ma'am.”
“Great Binta if you're so curious to know if i have an appointment with your boss or not why not pick up that damn phone laying down on your desk and call him and ask him if he know anyone with the name Erica.” I replied rudely but am less concerned about that because she's getting on my nerves already.
She pick up her phone and do as I told her, “She drop the call and make eye contact with me miss Erica am so sorry please you can go in now. it's ....”
I didn't allow her finish her words before walking out of her sight and hissed at her
"Hi Daniel ". i said this while opening his office door, he was sitting charming on his chair
"Erica it's a really pleasant surprise to see you in my office". he stand up from his chair and come close to hug me, to what do I own this visit, he replied with his charming smile
"I put on a smile and say am i not allow to visit you anymore ". i reply starring at him.
"Of course you are more than welcome anytime ".he replied
" Well i heard the good news and i came to congratulate you in person, but aren't you going to offer me a sit at least or visitors aren't allowed to do that". I asked in a mocking tone
"Oops! My bad,please have your sit and pardon my insolence ". Daniel reply
"Thank you" i reply him
"Daniel i came to see you for a very important talk".i said looking so serious.
"okay what's that?". Daniel ask out of curiosity.
"Ever since we've been in school,since the first time have set my eyes on you,I fall in love with you, i stand up from where i was sitting and move close to him,i put my hand on his shoulder and bend making eye contact with him,i can see the shock of hearing this in his eyes,Daniel i love you more than Samantha do,just give me a chance to prove my self to you". I was hoping to hear a nice answer from him but was shocked with his reaction
"Daniel laugh so heavily".
"Why are you laughing? is it funny?", I ask because I'm surprise
"Of course Erica it is,you can joke for Africa,was this suppose to be a test or what,you and your friend planned to set me up right?".He chuckles in laughter once more.
"Daniel my friend knows nothing about this,am serious it's just my feelings which i came to confess to you,just cancel your wedding and marry me instead, what i feel for you is beyond my control". I replied making sure my words would convince him.
Instead he push me away,and i almost fall down
"Are you crazy, Erica she's your friend! your best friend,why on earth do you want to snatch your friend's happiness, are you even wondering what she will feel if she hear this ". He yelled at me but am not bothered because i was expecting that
I don't care Daniel all i want is you. I reply him
"Suddenly the door opened and Samantha barged in looking so furious,staring at erica and Daniel".
"they were both shocked thinking she heard there conversation, Daniel quickly move close to Samantha,baby it isn't what you think".
"she chuckled in laughter,what else should i think seeing my best friend and fiance in his office,am sure you guys are planning something behind my back,Erica you tell me is it about the wedding ?". They all chuckled in laughter together.
"Erica and Daniel sigh in relief because they were glad she didn't heard them".
"Daniel hug her and said baby it's a surprise,Erica also move close to her let's keep you in suspense darling".
"Okay then your wish"Samantha replied smiling.
"Daniel's stomach grumbled,the girls look at each other and smile,Daniel you are hungry let's go and get something to eat" Samantha said.
Samantha and Daniel hold hand while walking and Erica was upset about that.
"couples am going to office,i need to take care of something" Erica said.
"They all bid goodbye to each other and Samantha and Daniel had a nice day".
"One Sunday,Daniel and Erica jammed at the gym and Daniel choose to shunned her.
"Erica move close to him, am sorry Daniel for everything i said to you the other day,i don't mean my words,am sorry".Erica said.
"It's okay erica,since you realized your mistake everything is fine now,i just want you to know that i love your friend so much and nothing can change that,not even you". Daniel said.
Erica got angry with his words but choose to smile it off."Daniel i am not trying to change that you know,lets just put everything behind us now,can we?".
Daniel smiled,"Yes we can,our best lady." We both chuckled and went for the exercise we came for,and left for home when we were done.
[A WEEK TO THE WEDDING]
"Finally it's a week to the wedding and Erica would be staying with me till the wedding day".
"Hi baby,you are here finally,Am so happy to see you."Samantha said and hug Erica.
"Also happy to see you too Sam." That's shortcut i used calling her name cause her name seems to long for me.
"Bride to be".Erica mocked her.
Samantha smile "Don't worry it will be your time soon."
"You are not serious". Erica replied.
"Come let me show you to your room." Samantha said.
"No,let me stay in your room instead or am i not welcome there?" Erica asked.
“ of course you are always welcome baby ”. Samantha replied smiling
Erica smile,"I want to spend some time with my bride to be". Both chuckled and went upstairs to say hi to mom,dad and Samantha junior sis, and they went to their room and arrange their bags.
[A DAY TO THE WEDDING]

POV
It's a day to the wedding and i haven't plan anything yet,i have to do something cause this wedding cannot hold. Erica thought to her self.
YES! i have an idea. Erica smile and went to meet Sam who's with the event planner downstairs.
"Erica there you are,am just discussing some things with the event planner,the wedding cloth is ready,the rings are ready,the caterers are set,the wedding is just going as plan".Samantha said to Erica.
"Wow that's a good news,i just hope the wedding will hold". Erica said.
"What do you mean by that Erica". Samantha asked.
"No what i meant was that i hope the wedding will hold on time because of your makeup". Erica said.
They both chuckled "You know i won't let that delay my day". Samantha replied.
