Jessica pov

    I was waiting at my locker for Rebecca to show up because I know her suspension is over today. I have texted her a couple times since I mentioned girls night to her and she seems really cool. I think Rebecca and Damon would be a cute couple together and not to mention Damon has a big crush on her.

    He normally can't talk to anyone but us since he is so shy. Yet she got him to talk above a whisper to her almost immediately so she must be really special. 

    Damon rubs people the wrong way because of how he looks but he is quite the opposite. He is a straight A student, a really good hacker, and has one of the highest IQs of the school. In other words he is super smart. 

    While I am waiting for Rebecca the gang shows up well everyone but Damon he is recovering from his fathers beating still. I don't know why he doesn't do something about it. None of us know all about the beatings. All we do know is that his father beats him and he thinks he deserves it. He doesn't though he is one of the nicest guys I have ever met wouldn’t harm a fly. 

    I talk with Ella while the boys talk about a new video game coming out. I hear "Well well well look who we have here" then a loud WHAM! 

    Dammit I was so caught up in a conversation with Ella that I didn't see Rebecca walk in and also didn’t see Avery and her minions walking up to her too. As soon as I heard the loud noise of Rebecca's head hitting the lockers I snapped my head over to see what happened, and when I saw Avery I stormed over there faster then the Flash.

    "How dare you, she hasn’t done anything to you? She took everything you gave her and ONE time she defended herself and broke your nose which you deserve. Leave her alone or the next person who is going to break your nose will be me and trust me I will do more than that." "I don't get why you are defending that tramp she is just trying to seduce Damon to add to her slutty list and use him for his money." Her minions behind her had smiles on their face and agreed. I have had enough. I didn't think I just slapped Avery as hard as I could across the face to where I could see my red hand printed clear on her face. She started to cry but I didn't give a f**k. "Now go away before I do worse."  I raised my hand and all of them flinched. 

    I know it is wrong to be violent but that girl needs to learn how to be nice and saying it isn't working. "You all will pay for this'' Avery said and stormed, off minions right on tail. I rolled my eyes at the clique line she just said but then hurried to Rebecca's side.

     "Are you okay?" I ask her since she keeps holding onto the lockers looking like she is trying to focus her eyes. My friends went around her with all of us worried about her then she fainted. 

    Luckily Jonah catches her before she hits the ground. We go to the nurse with Jonah carrying her. The nurse decided to call an ambulance to take her to the hospital and we are allowed to drive to meet her there. 

    On our way there it was just Sam and I  in the car the others took their cars. "Babe she is going to be fine" Sam tries to reassure me since I'm freaking out worried about Rebecca. "Oh my gosh I have to call Damon. He is going to be so worried and angry. I better do that now so he can meet us there." I grab my phone and call Damon. 

    "Hello" a sleepy voice Damon said over the phone. "We are on our way to the hospital Avery slammed Rebecca against a locker and she fainted. We took her to the nurse and she called an ambulance to take her to the hospital." "Woah okay I'm on my way bye" he said in a now fully awake and worried voice. "Bye" I said and I could hear him rushing in the background to get dressed, cursing while trying to put pants on before we hung up.

    If it was any other day I would be laughing my ass off at him but lucky for him it isn't and I'm more focused on Rebecca's well being. When we get to the hospital we have to wait in the waiting room for what seems like forever while Rebecca is getting checked out by a doctor. 

    When Damon gets here he doesn’t help the wait with his pacing and worrying, he must really like this girl. While we waited we tried to contact Rebecca’s parents but we couldn’t find them even when we had Damon hack the school records to find her parents number we found nothing.

    We were finally told that we can see her and we rushed into the room. When we got in there and she was sleeping. The doctor came in and I asked “Is she going to be okay? When is she going to wake up? What is wrong with her?.” He answered with “I’m sorry ma’am but all I can tell you is she will wake up most likely sometime today or tomorrow” “Okay doc thank you” Jake said then the doctor left us alone with her.

    I explained to Damon while we were waiting in full detail what happened. What had me shocked was how he got happy when I told him I slapped her instead of being disappointed like always. I understand though I would be pissed if someone seriously hurt Sam(her bf if you didn’t remember). We were all talking about what happened to Rebecca when we heard someone ask "Where am I?" a panicked voice we all jumped. 

    When we noticed it was Rebecca, Damon immediately asked if she was okay and told Jonah to get the nurse. After that was said she looked scared and got up and I told her she can't be getting up. She didn't listen and made her way to the window. Sam told her she should be laying down. Then before we know it she opens the window and jumps out. Damon shouts out to her but Rebecca just keeps running. We stand there studded at what just happened. 

    While we are just standing there looking at the wide open window Jonah and the nurse walk in and when they see the window wide open they give us a confused look. "Why is the window open and where is Rebecca?" Jonah asked.”Uh well Rebecca jumped out the window.” Willam answers like it is a totally normal thing to do. “SHE WHAT!” The nurse yelled like this is the first time this has happened but I doubt. 

    Willam repeated himself then the nurse now full believing it,  goes on the phone hooked to the wall and talks through it saying “CODE BLUE! CODE BLUE RUN AWAY PATIENT RUN AWAY PATIENT. 

    Next few hours I was angry. I spent all the time talking to the police about Rebecca. In the end they didn’t find her and we are allowed to leave. We leave the hospital and head to Damon's house to get his computer. We went to the address Rebecca told Damon but found out it wasn’t her house and 3 guys live there by themselves. Then we left for Damon’s house. He got on his computer and hacked her personal email and found her address but couldn’t find anything about her family. We decide to go to her apartment in the morning. 

    The next morning we all meet at Rebecca’s and on the way I notice we are going to the bad side of town where normally, we are too scared to enter. The apartment complex we pulled into looked like you would find in a horror movie and looks like no one should live there, the area we are at by the way is really shady. We get to her door and knock when she answers.

     She has a confused look on her face then a look of shame, guilt, embassament, and horror. She stutters when asking us why we are here. I thought it was pretty obvious though we wanted the truth. I am really hurt that Rebecca lied to us but I will never say that to her. She lets us in after talking for a minute. She goes to get changed then we all start talking. 

    “Wow never would have thought she would live in a dump like this to one not to be mean or anything but it is but it isn’t her fault.” Jake said William chimes in with “Yeah and it seems too small to be a family home.” 

    There are only two doors in the house, one is Rebecca’s room and another I am guessing the bathroom, The kitchen doesn’t have a door we can see it all from where we sit. We talked for a couple more minutes and then Rebecca came back. We all stopped talking and looked at her. When she was telling us about herself I felt bad that we kind of forced it out of her. She has had it rough and started tearing up while talking and apologized for lying. 

    I said it’s all right Damon was agreeing when he got interrupted by a phone ringing. He took a phone out of his jean pocket. It was Rebecca’s so he gave it to her bringing it from the hospital where she left it. The phone stopped ringing and Rebecca finally got to see who it was and we all were surprised when a “oh s**t” came out of her mouth when seeing who she missed a call from.
