"They did what?" Fiona asked. Her voice rose and made the little one in her arms stir. She put the child back to her breast to calm him once more. She turned her gaze back to Rowan. Why would they willingly go after those wolves and put themselves in danger? Fiona could not understand it.
"They were worried about the safety of Maisie's sister," Rowan said. He understood their worry, but they would be no help to her sister in this case. They were not being held captive by the very man they were trying to get Maisie's sister from.
"What is yer plan to get them back?" Fiona asked. Rowan explained what Alpha Kai had warned. That he needed to go alone, and he would know if Rowan did not. The only one who was allowed to return with him was Maya. Fiona's brows drew together.
