The message echoed in Daniel’s mind. “She’s not giving up on you.” He repeated it quietly, as if saying it again would make it more real. “She’s not giving up…” Emeka watched him carefully. “So wetin you go do now?” Daniel looked up. This time, his eyes were different. Focused. Determined. “I’m going to see her.” Emeka blinked. “See her? How? You wan just enter her father house like that?” Daniel didn’t answer immediately. Because for the first time— He was actually thinking of doing something that risky. ⸻ “Where did you see her?” Daniel asked the girl who brought the message. She hesitated. “I… I wasn’t taken inside the main house. But I know the area.” “Tell me.” She looked nervous. “If they find out I told you—” “I won’t get you in trouble,” Daniel said quickly. “Please.” She took a deep breath. “Big white mansion… high gate… security everywhere. It’s in GRA.” Daniel nodded slowly. GRA. Of course. A different world entirely. ⸻ That night… Daniel couldn’t sit still. He paced outside his house again. Thinking. Planning. Failing. Thinking again. ⸻ “You dey mad.” Emeka’s voice came from behind him. Daniel didn’t turn. “Maybe.” “You want go GRA go find rich man daughter? Guy, that one no be love again o—that one na trouble.” Daniel faced him. “I don’t have a choice.” “You get,” Emeka argued. “Forget her.” Daniel shook his head immediately. “I can’t.” “Why?” That question hung in the air. Simple. But deep. ⸻ Daniel spoke quietly. “Because she didn’t forget me.” Silence. Emeka sighed. “Love go really show you shege.” Daniel almost smiled. “I’m already feeling it.” ⸻ Across town… Isabella sat on the floor of her room. Her back against the bed. Her eyes tired. But her mind— Still fighting. ⸻ “Ada,” she whispered. Ada quickly locked the door behind her. “You’re going to get me killed one day,” Ada muttered. Isabella managed a weak smile. “Not today.” Ada sat beside her. “Your father is serious. The engagement dinner is in two days.” Isabella froze. “Two days?” Ada nodded. “Yes. That man is coming. Everything is already arranged.” Isabella stood up immediately. “No… no, no. That can’t happen.” “You need to be careful,” Ada warned. “If you try anything now—” “I have to,” Isabella said firmly. “I can’t marry someone I don’t love.” Ada looked at her. “And Daniel?” Isabella’s voice softened. “I love him.” ⸻ That night… Daniel made a decision. A dangerous one. ⸻ The next morning… He stood at the entrance of GRA. Clean shirt. Worn shoes. Determined heart. ⸻ “Where you think you dey go?” the security man asked, blocking him. Daniel swallowed. “I… I’m here to see someone.” “Who?” He hesitated. Then said— “Isabella.” The guard laughed. “Which Isabella? You think say na your mate dey live here?” Daniel stayed calm. “Please. I just need to talk to her.” The guard shook his head. “Turn back.” ⸻ Daniel stepped back slowly. But he didn’t leave. Instead— He walked around. Observing. Watching. Thinking. ⸻ “There must be another way,” he muttered. And then— He saw it. A side road. Less guarded. Quiet. ⸻ Meanwhile… Inside the mansion… Isabella stood by the window again. Looking out. Hoping. ⸻ “Daniel…” she whispered. ⸻ Back outside… Daniel moved carefully. His heart beating fast. Every step— Risky. Every second— Dangerous. ⸻ He reached the side of the compound. Tall fence. But not impossible. ⸻ “You don finally lose your mind,” he whispered to himself. Then— He started climbing. ⸻ Inside… Isabella suddenly felt something. She turned toward the window again. Her heart racing for no reason. ⸻ “Why do I feel like…” she paused. Then shook her head. “This is crazy.” ⸻ Outside the wall… Daniel reached the top. Looked down. Deep breath. ⸻ “This is for you,” he said quietly. And jumped.
