Aurora steps out of the ER and clean her bloodied hand on her apron. She smirks and I feel my heart drop.
“Wh..what, what…” I stutter, unable to form a complete sentence in utmost fear that she hasn’t done what I am thinking.
“What am I doing here?” She asks and I nod.
I hold my shirt to avoid her from seeing my shaky fingers.
