Mia's body trembled in desire and shock when Cole's long fingers found it's way into her c**t. She never allowed any man to touch her there...never. After the harrowing experience she'd gone through in the hands of her ex, no other man had ever touched her that way. Hell, she never allowed any man to touch her at all. What was wrong with her? How had Cole Anderson waltzed into her life and changed her feelings about these things?
And he did not even like her, hell she was barely his type. She raised trembling fingers to her lips and closed her eyes. Cole was staring at her, golden fire burning in his blue eyes.
"Who the hell hurt you, Mia? I need you to tell me now."
He came closer and Mia edged backwards, telling herself not to flinch, that would even make him more suspicious. He looked angry, the golden flecks in his eyes becoming brighter. Wolf eyes, Mia thought, it was beautiful in a masculine kind of way. Mia knew she should be cringing away from any shape shifter, if she had half a brain, she would've been running out the door. But she was not afraid of Cole Anderson. She had a strange feeling that he would never hurt her. But she couldn't believe that, could she? All the men in her life had always want to hurt her, except her father.
"Snap out of it Mia and answer my question." Cole bellowed at her, a deathly look in his eyes.
"No one hurt me. And even if I was hurt, why would you care? It's not your responsibility to fight any of my battles."
Before Mia could take a breather, Cole was standing directly in front her, pinning her in place with his hot blue gaze. God, he was handsome. His black hair hung in his face and was slightly disheveled, like he'd run his fingers through them all day. His mouth was a little bit on the thin side but was still sexy as hell. He had long blue-black eyelashes. And as Mia stared into his eyes, she tried to keep herself from wondering if she was falling for her her own boss, who was a billonaire s***h werewolf...so off limits.
He leaned in closer to her and took a deep breath. Mia knew that he was breathing in her scent, her smell and she wondered if he found her disgusting, like the middle class housekeeper that she was.
She shook her head to clear her thoughts. She did not care what Cole Anderson thought about her or how he saw her. Caring would just get her hurt and she was tired of hurting, so damn tired. She took a deep breath and forced herself to look back into his eyes.
"No one hurt me, Mr. Anderson. Can't we just leave it at that?"
"No, damn it!" Cole shouted and at the same time ponded his fist into the wall behind her. Mia flinched as the plaster exploded and blood streamed from his broken knuckles. She immediately took his hands in hers, holding tightly when he tried to wrench free.
"Why on Earth would you do that? Now you're hurt."
Her eyes darted around the room then came to rest on his.
"You've got a first aid kit around here? We have to stop the bleeding."
Cole stared at her like she'd just sprouted horns.
"I'm okay, Mia. It's just a flesh wound, it will heal soon."
Mia knew that by soon he meant probably in a few minutes. Werewolves had accelerated healing abilities. Their wounds could heal way faster than a human's but that did not stop her from worrying as she watched him press his knuckles with a dry cloth then tie it up.
He stopped suddenly and turned to her, his eyes glistening with a deathly cold.
"If you're not going to tell me who hurt you then atleast don't lie to me. I know someone did and Mia, I will find out who it was and make him pay. Do you understand?"
Mia could swear that her heart stopped beating for a minute there. Her bastard of a ex boyfriend was no problem but Coke wanted to go after the rogue werewolves by himself? It was too dangerous, she could not let him do that.
"Damnit Cold why do you have to be so stubborn. I already told you, no one hurt me. it's not your place to even hurt those that hurt me. This does not even make any sense!"
Cole stalked towards her and yanked her into the heat of his chest, nostrils flaring.
"Yes it is my place, Mia! It is my Goddamn place to look for and hurt every single person that has ever laid a finger on you. Do you get me? It is my place because you're my..."
Cole stopped abruptly, his eyes darkening with heat.
"I'm your what? What were you about to say Cole? "
Cole instantly let go of her and the cool air from the AC chilled her to the bone. She missed his delicious heat.
"Forget it, Mia. Why did you come up here?"
At the mention of her mission, Mia stilled. She'd wanted to talk to Cole about Vanessa and she'd almost forgotten.
"I...uh wanted to talk to you about something important."
When he just started at her, she continued,
"First I want to apologize for earlier. I did not mean to hurt Vanessa, I was just angry. Um...Vanessa, she's not who you think she is..."
Cole's head shot up as she said that, his eyes darkening again, this time with anger.
"And who do you suppose I think she is?"
"Well, I dunno, a good person, someone you're no doubt planning to add to your long list of f**k buddies?"
Cole smiled, a long, lazy smile.
"You think I've got a long list of f**k buddies? Wow, Mia, you've literally blackened my poor reputation in your mind."
"This is not funny Mr. Anderson..."
Cole's face hardened.
"It's either you call me Cole or you leave, right now. Cut the Mr. Anderson crap, I've literally had my hands all over you."
Mia's face flamed in embarrassment.
"Well, Vanessa is not who you think she is. She's a b***h, the worst kind. She can stoop to any levels to get what she wants. She's practically dangerous."
"And I'm a big boy, Mia. I can take care of myself."
"I'm serious damnit! I can't stand the sight of her."
"And what were you thinking, Mia, that I would send her away after listening to your story? Thought you believed you never meant enough to me, so why would I send my masseuse away for you?"
Mia was taken aback,
"What, you read minds now? And anyway, we both know what you think of me, Cole. That I'm just your housekeeper, a middle class girl that isn't worth the wealthy billonaire's time. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect anything from you, Cole. I just expect my men to like me for who I am." And that had not happened since her father, she doubted that it ever will.
From his place at the foot of the bed, Cole tightened his fingers into fists, his expression tightening as well.
"Is that really what you think, Mia. That I would just kiss you, touch you to satisfy my little s****l urges? That I don't care about you as a person? Worst of all, I wouldn't want you because you're a f*****g housekeeper?"
Mia stared at him,
"Isn't all that true?"
"No, damnit! it's not true so get those miserly thoughts out of your damn mind because I want you Mia. I want you in my bed, under me crying...begging for more, for satisfaction and release that no other man can ever give you. I want to sleep with my c**k deep inside you and wakeup with my morning erection inside your c**t. I want to kiss you, possess your mouth, your tongue and I want to make love to you until that haunted look of fear and pain leaves your eyes. If that does not explain the way I want you, I don't know what will."
Mia stilled as heat slowly enveloped her whole body. Cole planned on f*****g her, in the most savage and way possible. But how could that be? Surely, he was joking.
"You want me? But how about those other girls? The ones you've been bringing home alot lately. Thought you were sleeping with them to get back at me for that morning at the gym."
"No. I was not sleeping with them."
Mia scoffed,
"Yeah, right. I get it that you say you want me but you do not have to make fun of me, Cole. How could you even want me over all those thin, sexy girls?"
Cole laughed.
"Because I love my women with a little meat on their bones and a hell 'lotta back bone too."
"I can't believe this."
Cole stood up and walked towards her, then stopped directly in front of her, looking down at her upturned face.
"Then give me a chance, Mia. Give me a chance to show you how much I want you, how wrong you are about yourself."
Mia closed her eyes and took a deep breathe. God, this man affected her. Standing so close to him, his breath hot against her face sent a rush of warmth through her middle. How could she say no? She wanted him. Wanted him to do things to her that no other man ever had, wanted him to make her feel things that no other man had ever made her feel. But giving into her feelings would only make things all the more complicated. She doubted that she and Maria would stay here long before the rogue werewolves found them and if she got involved with Cole, they might hurt him and his family as well. She couldn't let that happen.
She looked down and stepped back.
"It's not going to happen, Cole. Forget about it."
Disappointed, Cole gave her a hard glare, then yanked her back into his strong arms.
"This is going to happen between us, Mia. It would me my little crusade, my mission to get you naked and willing under me." He snaked his arms over her waist, leaving her locked against his chest.
"And I will make sure you enjoy it when it happens. Don't forget it."
He let go of her and she immediately scrambled for the door.
"My brothers and sister are coming tomorrow. Wanted to tell you before hand."
"Okay" Mia opened the door.
"And Mia, when I finally get you under me, you won't even remember that you were abused."
She got out immediately and shut the door leaving him craving for her in the empty silence.
