We were finally heading back and I couldn’t wait to see Mateo. It turns out that nick was a traitor and is dead along with the members of the burning devils. Kat was so excited that she couldn’t keep steady.
“ hey calm down woman we only stayed away for two days.” She showed me her middle finger and I looked down at Lacey to make sure she didn’t see that.
“ do you know that we aren’t the only people in the world and Lacey is bound to pick up on a few of these things that you hate the most?” She asked and I rolled my eyes.
“ I know that but at least I’m teaching her what’s right and wrong from now.” Kat shrugged her shoulders and went back to being excited. I smiled and went back to thinking about Mateo and the life we have ahead of us.
