Chapter 1

811 Words
Liliana Hart stood on the penthouse balcony, the wind whipping through her thin silk robe. At the age of thirty-five, she had it all diamonds, cars and a billionaire husband. But it felt hollow, cold and trapped. "Liliana," Theodore’s voice cut through the stillness. "The Aspen trip is booked. Smile for the investors and don't screw it up." He lounged in the doorway, sixty-eight, tall and rigid in his expensive suit, his eyes devoid of warmth, only pure, possessive control. "I always smile for you, Theodore," she murmured, her voice tight. A hot, tight knot of anger throbbed in her chest. Their marriage was a business transaction. He offered her a life of luxury; she gave him a young, beautiful wife. No love, no intimacy, only long, solitary nights while he closed deals and flaunted mistresses. He glanced at his watch. "Sebastian will be there. The boy needs to understand. Control him." Sebastian. The mere thought ignited a slow heat through her body. Theodore’s thirty-year-old son was as intelligent and handsome as he was aloof and bitter. They hardly ever spoke but his dark eyes often lingered on her a second too long, the intensity a dangerous allure that made her breath catch. It was wrong, of course. Wrong, wrong, wrong. But it made her heart pound. The following morning they were soaring above the clouds on Theodore's private jet to Aspen. Theodore was yelling into his phone about real estate empires and Liliana sat across from Sebastian. He wore a snug black shirt that clung to his muscular chest and arms. His jaw was clenched tight as he tapped furiously at his laptop. "You don't look very happy," Liliana said softly. Sebastian looked up, his eyes meeting hers. "I hate this performance. He treats me like scum, and you... " he let his gaze drift to her lips. "...you stay, even though you're clearly not." Liliana's pulse quickened. "What other choice do I have? He pulled me out of nothing. But you make me feel things I shouldn't." Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes. Years of loneliness, of simmering rage at Theodore, of this forbidden desire toward his son all tore at her. He was her stepson. It was sick. But her body didn't care. The Aspen chalet was vast and luxurious, its immense windows framing a breathtaking vista of snow-capped mountains. Theodore was out of there the second they arrived, leaving her with a curt, "Don't be a fool," and a pointed glare. The tension that had been building between Liliana and Sebastian for months finally shattered. "You think you own this family, don't you?" Sebastian’s voice was a low growl as he stepped closer to her in the spacious living room. Liliana moved into his space. "I know the way you look at me. It's consuming you too." Their eyes met, locking in a silent battle that spanned years of resentment and unfulfilled longing. Suddenly, Sebastian grabbed her waist, pulling her hard against his body. "I want you so much," he whispered, his voice raw with need. The kiss that followed was raw and hungry. Liliana moaned as his tongue claimed hers. He lifted her onto the polished wooden table by the roaring fire, their clothes flying off at an alarming speed-her sweater, his shirt, her skirt, his trousers. His hands were rough and insistent, tracing the curves of her body. Sebastian buried his face in her neck, whispering, "You're so f*****g beautiful," as he latched onto her n****e. Liliana arched her back, gasping as his mouth worked on her. Heat bloomed low in her belly. Her legs wrapped around him, her thighs pressing against his hard c**k. He entered her with one powerful thrust. Liliana cried out as he filled her, taking her deep and fast on the table, the crackling fire their only witness. Each thrust sent waves of pleasure through her, making her cry out his name. "Sebastian... Yes," she moaned, her fingernails digging into his back. He gripped her hips, pounding into her harder, their bodies slick with sweat. The forbidden thrill only made the release that much more potent. For those few electrifying minutes, nothing else existed – no husband, no rules, only raw, unrestrained passion. They collapsed together, panting and trembling. Sebastian pulled her close on the soft rug, still joined. "This is real," he choked out, stroking her tangled hair. "I love the feel of you. I love you." Liliana smiled, her body buzzing. "We have to hide it." At that moment, the front door crashed open. Theodore's booming voice echoed through the chalet. "Liliana? Sebastian? I'm home early! What in the hell is going on in here?" They froze, naked amidst a pile of clothes on the floor. Footsteps sounded on the mable foyer, heading towards the living room. Liliana’s heart seized in her chest. They were caught.
