I waited for Agustin to come pick me up. I was wearing a white sweater and jean shorts with ankle high boots. Ok. This is good. I reminded myself this again and again as I paced around my living room. This is the first time that my friends have invited me over to my 'crush's' house. I really hoped to make a good impression even though it's only the boys whom I am pretty comfortable with.
Its weird how fast I fell for Agustin. I have never felt like this before. Its like we are meant to be but how am I supposed to tell him that ?
Should I just be like 'oh hey Agustin, I really really like you even though I only know you for what? 3 months now. so date?' Ya like that was going to happen. There is no way that I would ever be able to tell him how I feel. Or should I try- My thoughts were interrupted when the door bell rang. Oh god he is here! I checked myself in the mirror one last time as I hurried down the stairs.
With a deep breath, I opened the door and found the ever so handsome love of my life standing there. How? How does he manage to look like an angel all the time? And those mismatched eye? Its the best thing I have ever seen and if someone tells me to kill myself at this moment, I will die a happy girl. He gave me a once over. From my eyes to the feet and back to my eyes. Then he smiled at me sweetly and said "Ready? Lets go, everyone is waiting". I smiled back at him as I quickly picked up my purse from the couch and pulled the door behind me. We walked toward his bike, like always, hand in hand.
Then he helped me put on the helmet. For some reason he always does that even after me riding this bike for months now. I am pretty sure I can do it myself now, not that I am complaining. I love to have any kind of physical contact with him. Oh No! I sound like a clingy stalker. My brain needs to stop with the 'Agustin fantasizing'. Without another word, he sat as I hooked on to him, as he drove off.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Agustin parked his bike in the garage and I didn't even realise it. What the actual hell? This is his house? No more like a mansion. What? Angel face and filthy rich? Are you kidding me. My crush literally lives in....this.
"Close your mouth, your jaw is about to fall off" I heard a voice. My eyes snapped to him who was smirking at me and I blushed embarrassed. He took off my helmet and helped me down the bike. My blush accelerated. He took my hand and pulled me towards the entrance. I couldn't help but gawk once again.
"This is your house?" I asked him, actually more to confirm myself. "yes" he stated vaguely as if he didn't want to talk about this so I let it go. We walked to the gate and he entered pulling me in with him. The interior was just like the exterior. Exotic and modern. This was truly a breathtaking sight. The huge L-shaped couch to the right with a fire place right beside it. There was a bar to the left. The living area was huge and I could tell that this place would never fail to keep me entertained. This is the best home I had ever seen.
Agustin looked around and having seen none of his friends around, he tugged my hand once again, as we made our way to a fancy looking spiral staircase. We walked up the stairs as Agustin enetered a room with me right behind him. And as we entered the loud noises of big teenage goodlooking boys rang my ear. "Hey Amara! You are here!" Peter exclaimed. But I was too busy looking at the room. It was a theatre room with a screen as big as the whole frekin wall.
They boys were all siting on the couch in front of the screen with pizza boxes lying beside them. I looked around at their amused and happy faces. I saw Jack whisper something to Agustin. Joseph pulled me to his side as he said "Amara what do you think? Should we watch The mortal instuments or Hell boy? Personally neither of them describe us right...but you decide." Already dazed with the magnificent house, I was not paying attention so I looked at Henry confused.
"Henry" Agustin said with a stern tone like he was warning him about something. "Oh, you haven't....?" Henry said as he looked at Agustin. Agustin shook his head with a sigh as he strode towards me and pulled me up. "We need to talk" he said and gently pulled me out of the room.
"About what?" I asked him softly finally finding a voice. "About me" He said and pulled me into another room as he closed the door. This room was fancy too but more...dark? It seemed a bit different from the house. More masculine. I could tell this was Agustin's room but it was just so, clean. Unlike a teenage boy's room. I expected pictures of cars and girls but apparently not. I turned to him finding him already looking at me. He was looking at me longingly almost apogitically? What for?
"What's wrong Agustin? You can talk to me about anything. You know that right?" I walked towards him carefully, trying to comfort him for what ever was going on in his mind.
"Amara, I didn't say the complete truth to you." Agustin started. "I told you about my family and a part of the whole story but I left out the major part, the part that people are scared to listen to." He said in a dark tone. I tried to keep my calm and didn't say anything because wherever he was going with this, it seemed really important. He paused for a while and looked at me as if rethinking but shook his head and strode closer to me.
"Amara, I am not....human." He said.
Shocked would be the least I could say to explain my state. I couldn't even understand anything anymore. "W...what?" I croaked out taking a few steps back from him which halted him in his position. "Amara please. Please, I don't want you to be scared of me. I would never hurt you." My legs toughed his bed as I sat on it looking at the ground trying to analyse what he just said. Agustin rushed towards me as his knee touched the ground and he crouched in front of me.
"What? What do you mean you are not human? What are you then?" I asked with the million questions and possibilities in my head.
"I am a hybrid. Half seraph half demon." He deadpanned like he really did not want to speak about it. Like he didn't want to be it.
"Ok you are just speaking words now. What? You are saying that you are a supernatural being? Oh no this has to be a dream. A really weird drea-" He cut out my constant mumbling but putting his hand on mine in a comforting manner.
"This is not a dream, Amara. This is the real me. The boys out there, are like me too. Well, half. They are demons and I am only half of that. I have half Nephilim blood too. That's why I have a mate." He looked at me for a while probably trying to process my expression but I was dumbstruck. "You are my mate Amara. Demons don't have mates but seraphs do. I had a fifty percent chance of having a mate but yet, here you are." He spoke all of this staring dead in my eyes. So he is saying that he is an angel? I mean hypothetically ya, he does look like one but he is really an angel? Oh my god. And I am his mate? What's a mate, like soulmate?
"Amara, please talk to me. Anything, just say something please." He said looking at me with concerned filled eyes.
But I had way too many questions in my mind to talk about.
