Break them

936 Words
Agustin was not liking this. But the pleading look Amara gave him was too much to handle. How can someone say no to that face. Peter was right. He is so whipped. Currently him and Jack were following Amara at a distance, as per the plan. They have to make those two demons believe that Amara didn't know anything about their world. She wanted to go make small talk with them alone but after a long argument between the couple, they settled on 'keep an eye from afar'. So here he was, following his girlfriend. He was not kidding when he said that he would freaking kill both of them if they hurt her. Damn it, he should have never allowed this to happen in the first place. He didn't know what he would do if he lost Amara too because of all this s**t that happens to him. Those two better not be playing any mind games again. And then his anger flared even more when he saw them. He saw the demons approaching. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I tried very hard not to hyperventilate when I saw them approaching. Deep breaths Amara, deep breaths. All you have to do is act like you don't know anything about their world and play along. You can do that right? "Hey, Amara!" Madeline chirped. "Hi!" I replied with equal excitement. "Hey, beautiful." Victor said, in a seductive tone. So this was their plan? For Victor to seduce me? I don't think so buddy. But I played along. "Hello". I said, making eye contact with him and giving him a sweet smile. "So, we were thinking if you want to hang out with us today? Since you are in all of our classes, We thought we could be good friends." Victor continued looking straight in my eyes. I tried very hard not to quiver. His gaze was- intense. "Uh, sure." I managed to say. "All right, lets go sit in the canteen then." Madeline said and pulled me forward. Victor came close to me all of a sudden to close for my comfort, and rested one of his hands on my shoulder as we walked towards the canteen.  I could somehow sense Agustin's gaze on me from far away. I just knew it was him. The mate bond. Yes, thats why. I internally smiled but when I realised that Victor was so close to me- Oh my God. He will be super pissed the next time I meet him.  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Agustin watched as Amara and the demons walked towards the canteen. His blood boiled watching the demon so close to his girlfriend. He wanted to rip him off piece by piece and- no, he needed to calm down. This is all part of the plan. He should be proud of Amara cause she was doing a good job. And they already knew what to do next. But the only thing he feared was that they would hurt Amara. Physically. And he would not be able to help her.  That was his worst nightmare. He will not be able to help her. And he didn't know what he would do if something happens. Jack and him entered the canteen a few seconds after Amara and the demons. Instantly, all the whispers died out. There was a pin drop silence. s**t. This is what he didn't want but he knew this would happen. The damn rumours. These humans think that the 'mysterious' boys are part of the underworld. Drugs, street fights and illegal things are what they do. Stupid them, was all Agustin could think.  He never has entered any place with so many humans before. He made sure that his classes consists of only him, his friends and a few more silent kids who don't ask any questions. It took some time arrange all that, but worked at the end of it. All eyes were on him and Jack, but he didn't care. He shrugged it off, when he saw Victor whispering something to Amara and, her replying back in another whisper. Jack nugged him when he realised that he was staring so it acted like nothing and kept walking till they reached an empty seat at the corner. He didn't miss the smirk that Victor threw his way.  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I sat at an empty table with Madeline and Victor. We made small talk. Under other circumstances, I would have placed them as normal people. But this was not the case. Victor was still sitting close to me and I could see the jealous and angry looks the girls were giving me.  And as I was predicting, Agustin and Jack entered the canteen as the room fell silent. Huh. I am gonna have to ask about that to Agustin. Now that I think about it, I have never actually seen any of the boys talking to anyone else but me.  "You know him?" Victor asked casually. Ah, there it is. I was thinking when he would ask that. "No, not really. I have heard about him though. People say he is not the one you should mess with." I said acting clueless, just as I practiced.  Victor and Madeline shared a look before Madeline asked, "But he is staring at you though." I looked up and of course, he was. NO! Agustin! this is not the time to be all jealous. I frowned at him and looked away acting like 'I don't know why he is looking'. At that point I caught Victor smirking at him and it all became clear.  They were planning to use me against him because they know I an his mate. They also know that Agustin knows, I am his mate. But they don't have to know that I know all about them too. That is the only way I can play along and break them.
