Planning

"Stay away from them." 

"Don't talk to them."

"They are nothing but trouble."

"They are not good news." 

Those were the things I was hearing from the boys. They didn't seem to like the new students very much. "Why? Do you guys know them?" I asked. "Oh we know them very goddamn well." Was what I recieved from John. "Are they demons too? Why are they here?" I asked again trying to understand why they hate them so much. 

"Yes they are demons, Amara. And they are here for you." Jack said darkly. And I felt Agustin's hold on me tighten. Me? Why are they here for me? I don't even know them. "Hell, why do they have to come back now? Was it not enough when we beat their ass last time?"Joseph exclaimed.

"Clearly not." Agustin bit out, visibally furious. 

I gave him a questioning look as he sighed and faced me. "They are rival demons, Amara. Bad demons. They might be good looking but don't let that fool you. They are vicious and cunning. They play mind games and will try to make us against each other. I need you to trust me ok?" He said looking staright into my eyes. I nodded and said, "I trust you." 

"But why? Why do they want to do that?"I asked.

"Because I am a hybrid. And mostly because they are jealous that they can't have a mate and I can. The demons who are against me being in their community just find a weaklink to break and hurt me, Amara. And right now, my only weakness is you." And everything became clear. A heavy weight settled in my chest. Are they going to kill me to hurt Agustin? The idea of death was not foreign to me. I don't like to admit but there have been various times where I have thought of killing myself. So, at this point I was not scared for my self. 

I was scared for him. Agustin. 

"I wouldn't let them hurt you, Amara. Never." Agustin said sternly and I knew he was not lying. He was ready to face anything for me and I knew he wouldn't care if he got hurt in the process. But I did, I cared. And I wanted to do anything and everything for these people who saved me from my everlasting loneliness. 

"We have to confront them before things get out of hand, Agustin." Jack said and Agustin nodded. If these boys could get serious about the duo then they were capable about something. Something very detructive. They talked to each other for a while, coming up with a plan. They used a few words which I did understand but the others I didn't at all so I gave up. They will tell me about the plan later. If they would tell me at all. 

The way they were talking implied that they were trying to keep me out of this but I really wanted to help. So, I said so. "Guys, I want to help too! I can't just sit there and act all normal."

"No, Amara. Its too dangerous. You don't know what they are capable of." Agustin said being all his posessive and protective self once again. 

"Please?" I insisted giving him my best pleading look. His gaze softned and he looked at me for a while clearly in conflict with himself. And then he sighed, coming to a decision. "Fine."

"Woah! Hold up dude. What just happened there? The most stubborn person I have ever met just listned to sweet Amara?" Peter teased and I couldn't help but smile. Agustin did truly love me didn't he? I felt on the top of the world at that point but then my mind came back to the matter in hand. "I can help" I stated, more like assured myself. Then I thought hard trying to decipher what I could do and then it hit me. Light bulb. 

"You said that they play mind games. Why don't I just play along?" 

"What do you mean?" Agustin asked tilting his head curiously. 

"I will act like I am falling for their trap. It will give you guys enough time to come up with another plan as both of them will be focusing on me. They will be taken aback that way and the surprise will cause their plan- what ever it is- to fall apart." I explained. 

"And use you as bait to get to them? No way in hell." Agustin said but the others kept silent. 

"That is actually not such a bad idea, Agustin. She is not wrong. They will never even predict that Amara could or ever would be the reason they fall apart." Jack said with a knowing look. I turned to Agustin once again giving my best look.

"FINE! But if they try and hurt you in any way, and I mean anyway, I will kill them." Agustin said with a dark look in his eyes.

So, let the game begin!
