"Hey!" I said after I realised that I was caught checking him out. It was a mere try to distract myself from doing that again. "Let's go" he said in his deep voice and started walking. I pulled the door behind me and followed. He looked back at me and after staring at me for a few seconds or so, he took my hand and continued walking. Huh. What was that ? Why was he giving me that look? We reached his bike as he helped me on and then seated himself. "Are the others coming too?" I asked him trying to figure out if this was a date. I think I was hoping it will be one. Considering that I have never been on one. Ok now I am starting to freak out. What if this is actually a date? What do people even do on a date? "No." He said in a flat tone and started the bike. "You ok?" he asked me. I think he felt me get tense since, well, I am practically holding him like my life depends on it. "Y-Ya" I replied. I could even imagine him frowning not believing me. Ya, he is like that. He always knows how I am feeling or what I am thinking. Always. The rest of the ride was in silence as he drove and I hung on to him. "We are almost there." He stated more to himself than to me. I tried to look around and we were still on a main road. Where is he taking me? Soon enough, the main road led to a small path and the bike came to an abrupt stop as Agustin parked in the middle of the road. The small path did not have any cars but the main road could still be seen. "Where are we?" I asked as I looked around. He didn't feel the need to reply as he took my hand once again and started walking. We walked for what seemed like forever. The small path led to a dirt road and the dirt road led to a field. I had to blink a couple of times to realise that the view in front of me was real. It was breathtakingly beautiful. And in the end of the city? Amazing. Agustin came to a stop and looked around. On his left was a tree that had a swing attached to it and before us was the beautiful sight of the sunset on the horizon. The field went on and on and there were a few trees here and there. It seemed like a paining. "It's..It's beautiful." And it was. Agustin looked at me and flashed one of his ever so famous but rare smile. And I felt my heart flutter into a thousand butterflies. Then he pulled me towards the swing and made me sit on it as he went behind me and started swinging me. My heart. Be still my heart. "What place is this?" I asked not finding a limit to my curiosity. "How did you find this place?" I continued. "I own it" He started. I twisted my body to look at him. At first I thought he was joking, but Agustin? He does not joke. As if reading my thoughts, he said "I own the land" to make sure that I heard him right this time. I guess I still looked like I was about to pass out when he released a deep sigh and crouched in front of me to look me in the eye. "There is a lot of things that you are yet to know about me, Amara. A lot of things that people are scared about, things that make me different." He continued as I merely blinked at him.  "Why are you talking like that Agustin?" I asked him in a wary tone. Honestly, the way he was talking was scaring me. 'people are scared about?' what does that even mean? He looked at me as if he was trying to decide on something and continued, "When I was younger, my dad died. My mom left and my elder brother left a few days later. I saw my mom after that but not my elder brother. When I was fifteen my I found out that my dad left me everything he owned. His house, his car, his bike everything. He owned this land, he left me this too." With that he paused and I tried very hard to blink back my tears.  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She was trying hard not to cry. Agustin could tell. He didn't want to be the reason of this but he had to. He had to tell her, even if it was not the complete truth. When Agustin saw her startled expression, he decided to leave out the most important part. The part which is the cause of the rumours about him. Damn it! It had been years since he had last felt like this. He was never the one to care of what others think, but he cared now. He cared what she would think about him.  Hell, he was scared. Scared that she would not want to stay after he told her the complete truth. So he decided to say the half of it. When the first tear rolled down her cheek he regretted saying this too. He looked up at her eyes and waited for her to say something but what she did next startled him too. She hugged him. A tight, comforting hug that said it all. It said that she was going to be there for him if she needed her.  After a few seconds, he pulled her close and hugged her back. They stood there like that for a while before she pulled away, cupped his cheek and said "Why do these things make you different Agustin? I am so sorry that it happened to you but it made you who you are." And then, as an afterthought, she added looking distant and turning around "It's ok to mourn for what happened. I understand and I don't want to believe that it makes you scary because you have a dark past."  Shit. There it was. He knew it. She could understand because she knew how he felt. She knew how it feels to loose someone you love.  He knew it. He saw it on the first day, he saw it in her eyes. He saw how broken she was. And now he knew that what he felt was true.
