The sun rises over a small village in West Africa, where children laugh, women weave colorful baskets, and men tend to the land. The air is filled with the sweet scent of yams and the sound of drums. This is a place where community is everything. But in an instant, it's shattered.
CUT TO:
INT. HUT - DAY
AKUA, a pregnant woman in her 20s, scrambles to hide her 3-year-old son, OLU, as armed men burst in. Guns fire, screams echo. Akua fights back, desperate to protect Olu.
VICTOR
(smocking)
You'll fetch a good price. And the kid? He's gold.
Akua's beaten brutally. She shields Olu, but Victor shoots her. Olu screams as he's dragged away. Akua's body lies lifeless on the dirt floor.
*Act 2: The Descent into Darkness*
CUT TO:
EXT. SHIPPING CONTAINER - NIGHT
Olu, traumatized, is locked with other abducted children. The container reeks of sweat and fear. Booms of thunder outside mimic the chaos in Olu's mind.
CUT TO:
INT. DRUG DEN - NIGHT
Victor sells Olu to MARCO, a trafficker.
MARCO
(grinning)
This one's young. He'll be perfect.
Olu's forced into hard labor, beaten, drugged. He forgets his name, his mother's face. The darkness consumes him.
*Act 3: The Plan*
CUT TO:
INT. CIA OFFICE - DAY
JEN, an agent, briefs her team.
JEN
This ring's been moving kids for years. We have intel on a big sale. Let's move.
CUT TO:
INT. TRAFFICKERS' LAIR - NIGHT
Olu, weak, is about to be sold when AMERICA'S ARMY, with Jen leading, storms in.
JEN
(furious)
U.S. Army. You're done.
Guns fire, booms echo. The traffickers are taken down. Olu cowers in a corner.
*Act 4: Restoration*
CUT TO:
EXT. REHABILITATION CENTER - DAY
Olu, now in a safe home, struggles to speak. MS. AYOADE comforts him.
MS. AYOADE
(softly)
You're safe, Olu. You're home.
Olu's eyes flicker. He whispers:
OLU
Mama...
The camera pans out as Olu looks up, tears streaming. The sound of a heartbeat, a mother's love, echoes.
FADE TO BLACK.
