"Hello?" A woman's voice said through the phone, a very familiar voice at that. For some reason, I felt a ping in my chest but brushed it off.
"Um, hello," I breathed, unsure of how to handle this since I wasn't exactly expecting anyone else asides from Rossi to pick up; let alone a woman, "is Lucian there?"
"He's actually in the shower right now, can I take a message?" She sounded as board as ever, and I resisted the urge to roll my eyes at this.
"Uh, no." I shook my head even though she couldn't see me, "Don't worry about it, thanks." I said before I ended the call without waiting for her response.
