“Breakfast time, Pet,” Felix announced as he finished hanging his school uniforms in the closet.
I can't help but wonder if all the dorm rooms notice this well decorated, or if he is getting special treatment for being the vampire prince. I'm almost positive it's the second option.
I do understand the reasoning for the school wanting to keep the prince and lord's happy. I don't think it would be a positive look on the school if the parents were not happy, especially the king and queen.
“Okay Master,” I responded and started walking towards the dorm door, exited and hoping that Felix lets me eat some good stuff.
I miss home-cooked meals. I have had nothing but bread, sandwiches, one Gatorade, and water since the day I was captured and taken from my family.
“Remember what I said, Pet. Do not mention our agreement. Do not embarrass me or disrespect me in front of my fellow students,” he warned, as he began walking towards me, holding up a leash and collar in his hands. “I purchased this for you. I was told they are top of the line and very comfortable.”
I study the leash and collar. As my eyes roam over them, I notice that the collar has a little diamond heart on it and the leash matches the collar with little diamond hearts lining the beautiful black leather.
“It's beautiful,” I murmured.
It's stunning. I have never seen anything so beautiful in my entire life. I'm scared to wear it. The leash and collar both look to be expensive. I don't want to break off a diamond and then prince Felix punish me for it.
“The collar will not be uncomfortable. I paid and made sure it was made from the finest material. I'll put it on you, and then we can head down for breakfast,” he barked, making me jump at the sudden harshness of his voice. “Do not ever take it off. It will help protect you while we are here. You can't see, but next to the heart on your collar is my family crest. If anyone were to try to harm you, and they see that they will back off immediately and if they don't, if a fool touches what is mine, I'll bleed him.” He snarled, eyes turning bright red as he looked at me. “Nobody touches my property.”
“Yes Master,” I whispered and turned out, pulled my hair over my left shoulder and waited.
“You have beautiful skin, pet, milky and flawless,” he growled as he raised the collar over my head and I felt the silk material hitting against my skin. “It looks beautiful on you.”
“It looked beautiful before, master,” I said and tried to look down to see how my new collar looked on me, but I couldn't see.
“Shut up. No more talking. It's time to go down,” he snapped, grabbed my leash in his hands, and yanked me towards the door.
I didn't reply, just quickly followed behind him down those narrowed stairs, hoping I didn't trip again. He threatened me earlier when I accidentally touched him. I'm not looking to repeat that conversation.
His mood swings are something I guess I'm going to have to get used to. He is actually sweet sometimes, almost tender even, but then something inside him snaps and his back to being the arrogant vampire prince.
As I step off the last step, I can't stop the loud yawn that's flying out of my mouth. I quickly brought my hand up and covered my lips.
“You will get used to the time difference,” Felix whispered as he finally loosened his tight grip on my leash. “You will sit on my lap as we eat. Do not speak to anyone, not even me. Just eat what I feed you and drink what I offer you. You will be a good pet and do not get your food. Understand?”
“Yes Master,”
“Good. Come, my pet,” he barked and tugged lightly on my leash as we made our way into the school cafeteria. When Felix opens and holds the door for me, my eyes quickly scanned the room before looking down at my feet.
I didn't see the girls I came here with just yet, but I saw a few blood pegs already on the floor kneeling next to their masters. I guess I should feel lucky that Felix isn't forcing me to eat like that.
“Felix honey, over here,” cried a beautiful black-haired vampire sitting down at a wooden table across the room. A few other students sitting around her with their slaves bowing at their feet.
“That's Cassandra,” Felix warned me and began walking us towards the dinner table. I kept my head and my eyes straight down. I don't want to embarrass or piss off Felix. I just wish to eat my meal in peace, even if I have to be okay with him hand feeding me like I'm a child.
“How's your new pet, Felix? Cassandra asked, while shooting a heated look my way. And no, I didn't see it, but I could feel it. “Mine is totally annoying. Didn't stop crying when I fed on him. I may have to call daddy and make him find me a better one.”
“She is perfect,” Felix said, took a seat across from Cassandra and slapped his palm down on his lap. “Pet,” he ordered, and I quickly and gently sat down on his left leg, feeling uncomfortable.
“Felix, she can eat on the ground like the rest. She isn't special,” the boy to our right spoke up.
“Cassius is right,” Cassandra said before barking towards me. “Well, what are you waiting for? Get down. Filthy pets don't belong at the dining table. Really, Felix, what are you thinking?” She sighed.
'f**k you, leech, you're not my master,' I snarled inside my head and didn't move. I mean, I couldn't move even if I wished to because Felix's fingers have now tightened around my thighs, telling me he wanted me right where I was.
“Cassandra, I would appreciate it if you and your brother kept yalls opinions on how I treat my pet to yourselves,” Felix said calmly, but I felt his body vibrating and the heat coming off his body was anything but calm. He was pissed. “My pet will not be eating off the ground,”
So Cassius and Cassandra are siblings. I should have guessed that with their names being so similar. I actually never heard of vampire siblings, it's very rare.
“Oh come on, Felix, you're no longer at home. You can do whatever you want here,” Cassius informed Felix, like he didn't already know that.
“I always do whatever I want, Cassius. Remember that,” Felix growled before taking one hand off my thigh, bringing it to the table and picks up a strawberry. “I just don't want my pet to eat off the floor. It's disgusting,” he told them before looking at me. “Open,” he whispered and pushed the sweet strawberry into my mouth.
I moaned as soon as the strawberry flavor bursts inside my mouth and I quickly chew it. 'No offense leech, I appreciate the strawberry, but I'd like something none healthy. I'm starving,' I said inside my head right before he gave me another bite.
“Felix, where is your pet sleeping?” Cassandra asked sweetly.
“On her bed,” he replied, fed me the rest of the strawberry, leaned over and grabbed a slice of pizza. “This is what you want, Pet?” He whispered against my ear and I quickly nodded my head, yes, that exactly what I wanted.
“What kind of bed did you buy her?” Cassandra continued her nosy questions while I'm trying to enjoy something I have not had in years.
'Can you just shut up? I get it his handsome for a vampire, but damn can't a girl eat in peace? I have not had pizza in years and she's sitting over here throwing all these questions at Felix. It's none of her business where I sleep,' I growled inside my head and happily ate the bites of cheese pizza that Felix was offering me.
I should feel guilty. The other slaves around me are all eating on the floor, and here I am sitting on the prince's lap eating delicious pizza.
Maybe being the prince's pet won't be that terrible as I first thought.
“Cassandra, please allow my pet to eat in peace,” Felix warned, leaned back in his chair, hand still holding the pizza for me to take bites whenever I wanted. “Let her enjoy the pizza and I want to enjoy silence,"
Silence?
What the heck? He said he didn't like silence, and now his demanding it in the school lunchroom? I thought to myself as I got thirsty.
