Silent Feeling

Sophia said softly,

You are still getting wet… If you want, you can go and sit in the library. My duty time is also over.

James hesitated a little and said,

Then let's go… Can I go with you?

Sophia smiled sweetly and nodded,

Let's go.

The two headed towards the university.

The two of them slowly walked towards the university under the same umbrella. The rain was still pouring down, but James felt as if each drop of it was announcing the beginning of a new chapter in his life.

While walking, James suddenly remembered that he had to go to the office room and report. He stopped and looked at Sofia and said, I have to go to the office room now. See you again later.

Sofia smiled softly, of course. will see James slowly moved towards the office room.

Standing in front of the door took a deep breath, then entered. As soon as he entered, he encountered an unexpected scene. The staff and professors present inside the room applauded him together. For a moment James was completely shocked. He never thought that his first day would begin with such a warm welcome.

The sound of applause, the smile on everyone's face, and the sincere welcome, all in all, his heart was filled with joy. This unfamiliar environment also suddenly started to become its own.

Just then James saw Sophia standing on the side of the room. She was smiling softly. There was joy in his eyes, with an impression of pride. As if he was happy to witness this new beginning of James.

James smiled lightly at Sophia. That smile was filled with a mixture of gratitude and unknown tension. It seemed that this small introduction had become the most precious part of the day for him.

In the midst of so many new faces, new environment, new responsibilities, a strange peace came to James' mind. He felt that today is not just the beginning of a new job, but the beginning of a special chapter in his life.

It is still raining outside, but there is no more discomfort in James' mind. Rather, the sound of that rain seems to deepen his inner joy. He felt that some days in life he came silently, to be remembered forever. And today is just such a day.

With the help of a professor at James University, Rehavi found a middle house very close to the sea at the end of the city.

James liked the house very much, the sea can be seen from the balcony, there is a beautiful flower garden around the house. There is no one in the three clans of James, there has been a man in the orphanage. He has learned a lot of hardships.

Since moving to this house, James began a new routine in his life. Every day, he would wake up before dawn, get ready at a set time, and leave for university.

Upon arriving at the university, the first thing he does is go to the canteen and have a light breakfast, a cup of tea, and a few snacks to give him the energy to get through the day.

Then his main work began. Teaching history to students. History was not just a subject for him, it was his passion, his love. So, standing in class, he would not only give information from the textbook, but would also convey the story, feelings, and impressions of the time behind each event.

James went to the library almost every day after class. Sitting among the huge bookshelves, he would study old history books with deep concentration and take notes. Even though he was immersed in the pages of the book, his mind seemed to be drifting somewhere in an invisible stream.

While sitting in the silent atmosphere of the library, his eyes would unconsciously search for a familiar face, Sophia. Sometimes from a distance, sometimes in passing, and sometimes from behind him, he would see Sophia. It was as if these sightings had become an inevitable part of his day.

At the end of the day, James would return home exhausted. He would eat dinner prepared by his aunt and lie down on the bed. His eyes would be closed, but his mind would be awake. The memories of the whole day would then flash across his mind.

Especially Sophia's smiling face, her soft voice, and the feeling of her presence filled James' mind with a strange obsession. Thus, one night after another began to pass.

Sophia's life was one of struggle from her childhood. She lost her parents at a very young age. Since then, her only refuge was Uncle Stephen's house.

In the beginning, Uncle treated her like his own child, enrolled her in school, helped her with her studies, and sometimes even took her for walks. Little Sophia still believed that this man was everything in her life.

But with time, everything started to change. Between the pressure of work and the frustrations of life, Uncle gradually became addicted to alcohol.

At first occasionally, then almost every day, he would return home drunk. And with that intoxication, his behavior would change. The man he had once loved became rough, angry, and restless.
