Eleanor headed up the hill to Stewart Avenue and continued to Cayuga Heights. She was distracted, and her words did not make much sense. Ming remained quiet until she got out of the car at Emmett’s place. Eleanor drove on, just pulling in to her driveway far enough to be out of the road. She jumped out and went to the large green garbage bin that she had wheeled to the curb. She opened the lid, and there was her garbage inside. She let out a sigh of relief and put the Prius in the garage. Then Eleanor went to wheel the garbage bin back inside. She changed into a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt and grabbed a pair of rubber gloves from the kitchen. Then she tipped the container on its side and started pulling things out carefully until she found the little twisted paper bag handles, tied tog
