Mr Donald had just got a brand new Range Rover , things are going smoothly and he's doing exceptionally well on the marketing job . His properties range from cars, landed properties, stocks,bonds, Treasury bills and fixed deposits. He has never found it difficult to meet up with his target because he's social and friendly, he likes talking to people, he likes new business ideas,he's one of the Stars in the Bank, he has collected several awards, namely best marketing staff of the Year 2024, Best loan agent award, a handshake with the CEO, a lunch with the executive director.
Donald and I are both senior banking officers. We earn the same salary, but his level of influence is huge. I have had cause to ask him how he managed to acquire that wealth. His response always ends in laughter without saying anything.
The second working day of 2025 auditors came to our branch to audit our work of 2024. Before they settled in, I saw that Donald was restless and always on call and sweaty. I sensed something was going on. The audit meeting we had upon arrival, Donald was not there, they had listed the numbers of documents they require for the smooth audit of the branch
