TEN: THE PURGE
The full council didn’t meet to discuss a verdict for another week due to busy schedules. In that time Blott stayed in a cell at the village hall. It measured six feet by ten feet with grey walls, a stained wooden toilet hole, and a bed made from straw as his only scenery.
Each morning he picked parasites off his skin and each night they crawled back again. The bed was riddled with them. Removing them was no easy feat as his body still ached with cuts and bruises after his fight with Artemis. All of this was uncomfortable, but what he hated most was the waiting.
