Chapter 4: No funny stuff

900 Words
Unknown POV I'm having a hard time keeping up with this woman, she's everywhere. Trying to get her alone is damn near impossible. The more I am around her the more I want her. I am seeing several problems that can get in my way but I will not fail I refuse to fail. Anna Phillips is MINE. Anna POV I walk back to the fire, Matt was know where in sight and neither was Cherry. I see Jake talking to some guys. He looked like he was having fun. I decided I should just head to bed, I think it was a eventful enough first day. I started walking back to the cabins, when I felt someone grab my arm, I look up it was Jake, “ Hey Anna, where are you going? I was worried about you!” I smiled. “Thanks Jake, I’m fine. It’s been a long first day I think I’ll head to bed. It was really nice chatting with you. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Jake smiles back and gives me a huge hug, I felt so comfortable in his arms just what I needed after the day I had. He was about double my size, holding me together. He let’s go and smiles at me, “Goodnight Anna, I can’t wait to see you tomorrow!” I continue walking to my cabin when I see Matt sitting outside the door. ‘OH great, and I bet he saw that very long hug too’ He put his head down and got up and walked in my cabin. I didn’t know why he would be there so I follow him inside and he continued walking into cherry’s room and closed the door much harder then needed. I looked around the room, everyone was sleeping. I starred at Cherrys door when I heard her giggling loud enough for everyone to hear and my heart sank. I went over and over everything that happened today and listening for any sounds nothing was happening behind that door. I stayed up all night sitting in the same spot starring at the door until it opened. Matt walked out buttoning up his shirt, he stopped and starred at me while I was like a statue still starring at the door tears in my eyes. I felt like he betrayed me. But he didn’t we weren’t together, we’ve never done anything. I didn’t even hear or notice him leave. Next came out Cherry as peppy as possible! “Good morning ladies, I’m in a great mood today! Let’s get ready and grab some breakfast!” I grabbed my headphones and headed to the dinning room, found our table and sat there ignoring everyone while listening to music. I felt eyes on me while I ate, I didn't even care anymore at this point. Want to look at me then look! Breakfast was finally done I walked out, I felt someone grab my arm. I was scared to look up when I recognized the scent was Matt’s. I didn’t look up I shrugged and kept walking, I couldn’t look at him. I was on my way back to the cabin when I saw Jake with the biggest smile. I just ran to him and jumped in for a hug. I took in his scent and it smelt like hot chocolate. I love hot chocolate! His hug made me feel the same way as a big cup of hot chocolate, warm and comfortable. I didn’t want to let go and I felt him laugh, “Anna, your going to need to let me go at some point! We have a free day today, do you want to go somewhere just me and you?” I thought about it, to get away from the drama around here that sounds great. I ran into my cabin to grab some things. Cherry walked out of her room, “Leaving already Anna, well I guess it’s hard getting sleep around here eh?” I rolled my eyes, “Yeah sort of, Cherry I’m just going out for the day I’ll be back for dinner.” I grab a small bag with snacks, water bottle and music and head out the door when I run straight into Matt. He looks at me, “Anna, can you please talk to me.” I didn’t look at him once, I kept my head down and kept walking away. He reached for me again and I shrugged him off. Why does he even want to talk to me, so he can keep me quiet about his fun with Cherry? I am letting this go, someone you just met shouldn't cause you this much hurt. I keep heading to Jake’s cabin to see if he was ready, I passed Bianca and she stops me, “Anna, I’m sorry about yesterday. We didn’t try to cause any harm. I thought Cherry was supposed to tell you to run. Can we hang out today and chat?” I figured it had to do with Cherry, I really didn’t like her. I think she was going to give me a hard time all summer. “Thanks Bianca, we can chat when I get back. Me and Jake are going out for the day.” I told her. Bianca’s eyes widened. Then she smiled. “Hmm ok Anna, but no funny stuff with my brother!”
