"We should now leave for our class Sofia." Blair said and Sofia nodded.
"Wait!" Sofia stopped them. "I don't know where my class is. Can you show me the way to my class?" She asked them.
It's her first day in her college and thus she doesn't know much about its structure.
"Of course." Blair said.
They both took her to the second floor and stood in front of room number 55.
"Your classes will be conducted here." Zara said. "Don't be shy and make new friends here." She added with a smile.
"I will" Sofia replied back with a smile of her own. "Thank you," she added.
The girls just smiled at her and left from there after saying bye.
She stood there at the doorstep, suddenly unable to move. Her eyes scanned the classroom, the unfamiliar faces, and suddenly she felt like a nervous wreck.
Westbridge has been her dream college for years, but now, she suddenly felt unsure. She looked way out of place in such a prestigious college. One look at her was enough for anyone to guess she was a scholarship student. ‘s**t!’.
She drowned in her own thoughts as her fingers flew to the worn out bracelet on her wrist. She missed Lilith already. She missed little Elias, as well as everyone else at the orphanage.
The orphanage had been her only home for as long as she could remember, and now, for the first time ever, she was away from home.
Her hands balled at her sides, as she shut her eyes close, taking in a deep breath. ‘That’s enough, Sophia. It's Westbridge. Your dream college. You're perfect and you can do this! Whooo’ She muttered to herself before going in.
There were only a few students present in the class. Most of them were busy on their phones while the rest were busy talking with each other.
She walked and sat on the fourth bench. It
made her feel safe. She is neither on the first benches nor on the back benches.
Middle benches make her feel safe.
Soon the class started to get filled with students. The noise increased as the students were chatting with one another.
Sofia felt alone in the class.
The professor came inside the class and the students got silent. The professor asked everyone to introduce themselves. Once it was done, he asked them to write down the syllabus for their first semester.
Sofia opened her copy and searched for her pen. She frowned when she couldn't find one. It was when she realised that in her excitement to come to the college she forgot to carry her pen.
She looked around and saw that everyone was ready with their notebooks and pens.
She looked at the boy beside her. "E-Excuse me?" She hesitated to call him. She has never been good with the opposite gender.
"Yes?" The boy looked at her.
"Do you have an extra pen?" She asked him in a small voice, too embarrassed to ask for things on her first day itself.
The boy nodded and gave her a blue pen.
“Thank you" She mumbled and began to write the syllabus which the professor was dictating.
It was an off lecture for Sofia as the teacher was absent. She decided to utilise it by applying for a scholarship form. Lilith told her to apply for scholarship as soon as possible and she hopes that scholarship form gets accepted.
She asked a girl about the scholarship department and she was told that it's on the first floor. She went to the first floor and got confused seeing so many ways.
Which one leads to the scholarship department? She wondered.
She looked around and tried to search for it. As she continued to walk, she didn't realise when she bumped into someone hard. A gasp left her lips and she rubbed her forehead to soothe the pain.
"What the f**k?!" A voice growled near her and she stepped back, flinching in fear. The voice was filled with anger and she felt her heart beating at a ridiculously fast pace due to the intensity of rage which the man held.
"l a-am sorry" She apologised in a meek voice, too scared to look at the man.
"Look. At. Me." He demanded in a menacing tone.
She had an internal debate within herself, hesitating to agree to his demand but then she slowly recalled that Zara and Blair warned her to not mess with any boy and she didn't want to have any grudges with anyone.
She slowly lifted her head and her blue eyes filled with innocence met with his dark sharp ones. Anger.
His brows dipped in together, as he looked down at her with squinted eyes. The intensity behind it scared her and made her tremble slightly. He took a step forward towards her, his tall height and muscular frame empowered her easily. Behind him were a few more men and she took a step back instinctively but he was quick to hold her hand in his strong grip.
"Leave me." She looked up at him in
disbelief, trying her best to move her hand away from his hold. How can he hold her hand without her permission?
"Who are you?" He asked in a cold voice, his grip for not losing on her for once.
She didn't answer his question but instead tried to free herself from his steel-like grip. Her hand was starting to hurt due to his tight hold.
His jaw clenched in anger when she didn't reply and he dug his nails inside her skin. She winced in pain and looked around to see if someone would help her but
unfortunately they all were watching the
Scene,
"W-what are you doing? Let me go."
He jerked her towards him and looked at her in rage, rage for not answering his question.
"I. Asked. Who. Are. You." He gritted his teeth and looked at her in raw anger, his
sharp eyes glaring down at her.
"S-Sofia" She said, getting afraid of him now. His aura was screaming danger and she wanted to be away from him.
"Sofia" He tasted her name on his lips and she shivered. Her name from his mouth made her feel terror and anxiousness. Something about him wasn't right.
"Your last name?" He asked her, looking straight into her eyes. His dark orbs were deadly, making her want to cowar back in fear.
"I don't have o-one. I am an orphan."
"Orphan hm?" A vicious smirk pulled over his lips and a chill ran down her spine.
"How much for one night?" He asked and she felt tears forming in her eyes due to the humiliation.
"Leave me!" She said angrily and tried to free herself from his grip.
He chuckled humorously seeing her fruitless action. "Don't act innocent, baby. I know how you orphans sleep your way up." He said and jerked her towards him.
Tears ran down her cheeks hearing him. Her shame only grew more as other people watched him say those disgusting words to her. She felt humiliated!
He brought his face dangerously close to hers and whispered in her ear,
"Name your price for one night and submit yourself to me."
"I said leave me! I am not-"
"Drop the act. I can give you any amount you ask for. Just one night and it will be over." Saying he nuzzled his face in her neck.
Sofia paled when he did it. Without any control over her actions, she lifted her other free hand and slapped him right on his cheek.
Silence.
Pin drop silence, a haunting and deadly silence.
The students looked at Sofia astonished, their faces carrying the same look- Fear and Pity. Everyone was holding their breath, scared for the new girl who messed up with the wrong man.
Her lips parted in fear when his eyes darkened, enough to make someone tremble in fear and she was no different.
His body became rigid and he clenched his jaw. His Aura turned deadlier and she felt suffocated to be in the same presence as him.
"Ahh!" Before she knew it, she was slammed on the wall ruthlessly by him and a sharp cry left her lips. He wrapped his hand around her neck in a death grip, choking her and cutting her oxygen supply.
"You b***h! How dare you slap me?! I will f*****g kill you." He growled in anger and forced more pressure on her neck She
gasped for air, struggling against him.
Tears formed in her eyes again and her entire face turned red due to the lack of oxygen.
"f**k! What are you doing man! Leave her." His friends gathered near him, trying to separate him from Sofia. They all succeeded as they dragged the man who was glaring at Sofia with rage and hatred clear in his eyes.
"f*****g b***h! I won't leave you." His body was shaking in anger and he looked no less than a beast who wanted to destroy her. He looked monstrous.
She felt herself getting frozen due to the amount of fear she was feeling. Tears were running down her cheeks without any control. She saw him fighting against his friend's hold and she took a few steps back in fear, before she knew it she started to run from there. The last thing which she heard from there was,
"Calm down Ronan. We will deal with her later"
***
Sofia entered her room and closed the door. The incident from college was still fresh in her mind and she couldn't help but tremble in fear. She left her classes and came to the hostel straight away because of that horrible incident.
She sat down on the floor with her heart thumping loudly in her chest.
She doesn't know what to do now.
She didn't expect to run into that man nor did she expect him to say those disgusting things to her. She closed her eyes in
humiliation as his words ran in her ears
again.
How much for one night?
Tears formed in her eyes as she recalled how he humiliated her in front of everyone.
He made her feel so cheap and disgusting. She might be an orphan but the thought of sleeping with others just to get something never crossed her mind.
She never imagined doing something like that and him saying those disgusting words in front of everyone were like a sharp s***h to her dignity.
She doesn't even know who he is!
Ronan.
That's what his friends called him. The name sounded familiar to her and she recalled Blair saying the same name. She warned her to not mess with boys of her college and especially Ronan.
She felt difficulty in breathing, realising that she messed with the only man she told not to, But she didn't want to mess with him, she didn't want any of it to happen.
She looked at her hand where his nail marks were clearly visible against her skin. It looked horrible, the marks were red and
deep.
His sharp dark eyes came in front of her eyes. The same eyes which were looking at her with rage and hatred, with the hidden vow in them to destroy her completely. She shudder in fear.
She shouldn't have slapped him. He looked like he wanted to bury her alive for slapping him. If it wasn't for his friends then she is sure he would have choked her to death.
No, no, no!
She is thinking too much.
He won't do anything to her or so she hoped.
