Jackson’s mind replayed the moment Justice said goodbye, lips swollen from his kiss. Her eyes had been filled with a love she knew could never be returned while he was a freak. Though the bond had allowed some emotions to resurface, Jackson had not been capable of true love.
By curing him, sacrificing her own life to do so, Justice had given him back the ability to love, knowing she would never have the chance to win his heart.
