Thirty-Nine With Jackson keeping a tight grip on her arm, Justice stood motionless as Marcus’ freaks tore apart the barricade blocking the exit of the underground carpark. She kept her eyes averted, face expressionless, as he shoved her through the gap in the barricade and out into the street. A smudge of light in the skies above Brimfield signalled the approaching dawn. Marcus headed for a black van and unlocked the side door, ordering Jackson to place Justice inside. There were no seats. Justice clambered in and sat cross-legged, getting as comfortable as she could. Jackson and the other freaks climbed in after her before Marcus slammed the door shut.
