Fae
I knew I once wanted to explore new territory but I was more hoping a tomb of some sort in the dessert or to find a new colony of people in the jungles. But this is something so peculiar I began to suddenly feel at ease. Patrick smiled at me and laughed out loud bending in half as he saw my reaction to what was in front of me.
I stepped forward in my dirty white converse. One step in front of the other, I told myself. Deep breaths. Ok I’m defiantly dreaming but this place was like a paradise. The trees stood so tall I never saw them ending and the flowers around me were so beautiful I had never seen anything like it. The air smelled so beautiful like fresh cotton, but mixed with daisy’s.
I suddenly tripped but felt those magic hands appear at my sides catching me.
‘Shh sweetheart I know it’s a lot to take in, but look. We are here ok, we will protect you’ said Leo.
What did he mean protect me? All I could see was freedom, I suddenly felt free and wild. Maybe I was drugged?
Patrick began to grip my hands. ‘Come princess we have to show you something. Follow me’ he then released my hand and removed his shoes. They looked so entertaining with red hair curled on top. I laughed out loud which caused him to turn around and give me a silly grin. He quickly farted off into the tree line. ‘Don’t worry Leo let’s go. We will explain.’. Leo ran straight after hun leaving me behind.
I took a few moments to try and figure out where I was. I have always studied maps and history. My favourite study was mythology. But this seemed so unreal. I decided to take a leap of faith. I ran towards the bushes to only see a glimps of light ahead. I stopped still to take in the glimmering doorway. Around it stood amazingly beautiful ropes of oak with symbolic runes that I have never seen before. I approached it cautiously but my heart raced with excitement. With the men no where near to be seen I took in my surroundings before looking back at the doorway.
I couldn’t see through it just a silvery white light. The runes looked as though they had been carved into the stones a years ago which made my heart thump so loudly.z I was so excited. Maybe this could be my discovery!
All of a sudden, a hand reached out of the white light and grabbed my shirt. I began to half scream and panic as it yanked my through the light. When I got through I felt the dizziness come over me. In front were Patrick and Leo waiting for me in a dark tunnel. It felt cold and damp. I held my hands around my arms to stop the chill.
Leo ‘it’s ok fae’ and with a click of his fingers a flame shot out of his hands. His hands become a lantern of light. How did he do that, so I came closer intrigued. The flames enticed me into them like a trick of a magician when Patrick suddenly grabbed me back.
‘Wow princess, so that’s erm something to explain. Us fairy type, we have our own skills sets. You see Leo had a skill of fire and sightseeing. They call him the Oracle.’
‘The oracle?’ I reply chuckling to myself. Leo started to look sheepish and his flames began to spark higher and change to a vibrant sunset orange. ‘Yes princess, a skill’. ‘My own skill os able to hid from the unseeing’. ‘You will find out’.
Patrick
I knew she would have some sort of thoughtful idea but she actually started to look concerned. She had no idea what was to come next.
‘Why do you keep calling me princess?’she asked.
Well that was an even longer story but the fairy stories really needed to come out now to help her understand. ‘Well I thought it is a good nickname for you looking so cute’ maybe i should think of something else quirky before more questions started to appear. Leo started to look impatient.
‘I can here someone following! We need to go now’ he grabbed Fae’s hand and began dragging her. I could feel the humidity begin to build and knew this would be dangerous territory. We need an escape quick to the safe house before we got captured by the royal guards. It was our only hope.
‘Leo please your hurting my wrists, what’s going on, I can’t keep up. I can’t breathe!’ She managed to get out before I felt the cold mist begin to surround us.
‘Fae we need to go! Trust me please. There are people following us that are going to take you away and hurt us. Please help us. I know you feel something deep down changing. Try to focus on the heart beats closing in or we will never get out’ he panicky asked.
Suddenly lightning strikes out and I could hear there faint screams in the tunnel behind. My goodness! She has more strength and control than I actually imagined. Maybe there is hope?

I knew deep down something felt terribly wrong but since coming to this grange place I felt a difference in my body. A slight current that ran through me. I hyperventilated and fell to the floor. The storm came closer and I did as Leo asked. For some reason I felt compelled to listen to his request. So within seconds I saw flashes beneath my closed eyelids. I felt relief come from my partners around me. I suddenly slumber down and hit my head against the hard floor. In the background I only heard a woman’s voice and footsteps quickly around me. ‘Finally she’s here quick, the saviour has arrived!’.
