Epilogue 6 months later Maddie’s pov I looked in the mirror and twirled in my wedding dress. Today I was marrying Marcus. I looked over at Jaylah in her beautiful flower girl dress. She has been calling me mommy all the time now. She is going to be an amazing big sister. I was happy to find out that we were having a boy. Jaylah calls my tummy bubba. She is just adorable. She is the best daughter anyone could ever ask for. This morning before I got ready, I took Jaylah to her mom’s grave. I felt like we both needed to do that. I never want to replace her. She was a wonderful woman. I only hope I can be the kind of mother she always wanted to be. I felt my son kick. “Okay Jaylah it’s time.” She looked up at me and smiled. She grabbed her basket and I grabbed my bouquet. I was so excited to finally marry Marcus. Then in a few weeks our baby will be born. Jaylah waited for the music then walked down the aisle. I looked down the aisle and saw Marcus. He took my breath away he was so handsome, and he was all mine. I couldn’t help but be happy and smile. Marcus’ pov I couldn’t believe how beautiful Maddie looked. I couldn’t wait to start our lives together. We have even bought a new house. We wanted a fresh start and needed a bigger house with our son coming soon. The preacher started to speak, but I didn’t hear much of what he said. We both said our “I do’s” then kissed our first kiss as man and wife. Then her water broke. My family took Jaylah with them and we headed to the hospital. I looked at Maddie and smiled. “Well at least this little one waited for us to be married.” Maddie said. I couldn’t help but laugh. Our life was full of surprises, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. We both finally had a family of our own. Our son wanted to make this day even more special and I know that both Maddie and I was excited to meet him. It was my second chance. THE END….
