Richard’s POV
“Boss, Samantha is here to see you”
Those words dragged me right out of my overwhelming thoughts. My icy gaze slowly left the busy sight of Chicago from my window as I turned to look at Anthony, who had an uncomfortably scared look on his face. He was lucky it was impossible to get mad after an encounter with a woman like Kate or I would have fired him on the spot.
I groaned in frustration when I put meaning to the statement he made earlier. Samantha’s contract had expired. What more did she want? As a woman who clearly didn’t have any value for herself, she should have taken my avoidance as a sign of me not wanting to have anything to do with her.
I was about to tell Anthony to dismiss her, but I stopped. Instead of doing that, I was going to tell her to her face that whatever business we had together was done for and she needed to stop bugging my life.
Shortly after he left, he came right back with Samantha. A Blondie I met at a pub and craved to explore a bit. She was willing to jump on the offer, signed the contract, which I purposely kept the time frame for 2 months because I knew I was going to get tired of her even before her time elapsed.
That was how I lived my life. I had a principle of not staying with a woman for more than 2 months. I didn’t want any form of attachment. I would rather just change them as I please and it made my life so much easier.
“You have been ignoring my calls” she spoke out and only then did I look at her. I wasn’t cut out for an uninteresting conversation with a b***h who didn’t know her worth.
I returned my gaze to my window and then I mouthed the words dryly. “If you were wise enough, you should have gotten the memo”
She breathed out sharply, trying to curb her anger. She better. If she as much raised her voice, I was going to make my guards bundle her out. Why I was even this pissed with her? It surely had to do with Kate.
I was so unhealthily drawn to her that the thought of being with another woman other than her was repulsive. I really needed to curb my feeling. I couldn’t end up falling in love with her. I have only ever been with a woman for s*x and I wanted to keep it that way.
“We could renew the contract. It doesn’t have to end like this” She slightly touched my shoulders. “You wanted this as much as I wanted this before. Why are you backing down now?”
“Your contract expired. Remember the clause that stated we wouldn’t have anything to do with each other when that happens?”
“The contract doesn’t stop anything and you know that. We can” She paused as she trailed her hands from my shoulders to my chest. “We can continue this beautiful thing that we have started. f**k the contract Richard” Her hands trailed down, but before they could get to my trousers where they were heading, I stopped her, holding her two hands to restrict her.
With a little distance between us, I sent glares at her, watching the seductive look in her eyes fade into fear. “Don’t let me repeat myself. I put two months in that contract for a reason. I’m not a man who goes back on his word. The contract states that we are over and that means we f*****g are!”
Tears welled up in her eyes, as her lips quivered. “But I love you, Richard. What are you going to do about that!” she yelled in my face, passing down all the pains she felt inwardly.
I sighed in frustration. This wasn’t the first time something like this was happening. Most of the women I had gotten involved with didn’t understand the concept of business and they always ended up falling in love when it was clearly stated in one of the clauses that I had no business with them after the terms expired.
That was my principle, but the papers I sent to Kate didn’t contain that clause. As a matter of fact, the time period was indefinite. I gave her the option of choosing to opt out whenever she pleased and that was something I had never done with any other woman before. Neither have I asked a woman for s*x at a club without going through the formalities of asking for written consent.
A written consent was the last thing I thought of when just her eye contact sent fire to my soul. I was trapped in her perfection the moment I set my gaze on her. As a successful man, I had had my own fair share of drop-dead beautiful women, but hers was different.
She possessed an effortless ethereal beauty. The type you almost never see. The type that would make a man punch anyone who dares mention that goddesses didn’t exist. Her eyes were like pools of deep, filled with warmth and innocence. Just one gaze and I found myself lost in them.
As she spoke with her friend, she would smile from time to time. Her face lit up with radiance and eyes sparkled with joy. A kind of smile with warmth and positivity. Right there and then, I thought to give her Sunshine. It suited her most even though the sun hid in a gloomy cloud when she spoke to me with so much aggravation.
With a woman as perfect as she was, I couldn’t help but yearn to make her mine, not just for a night, but for as long as it took to get enough of her. I had the fantasy of wrapping my hands around her hair while I f****d her till dusk with her screaming my name from her soft, inviting, luscious lips
I let go of all the self-principle I knew of. I didn’t care about all that. I would have her right there and then if she let me. My ego had never been more crushed when she refused my offer. Was she aware that she was the only woman I had asked for s*x without going through the needed formality?
But that rejection only boosted my urge to have her, chained to my bed while I make her regret ever rejecting me. No woman had ever dared to do that, but those bold, but innocent eyes stared at me plainly, giving me the insult of my life.
Now that was the kind of woman I wanted. Someone who wouldn’t only make me lose my mind in bed but every other aspect. I would be damned if I let our union last for just 2 months like I did with Samantha.
I craved so much to make her mine and groom her until all her innocence is gone and she becomes my little w***e.
