Kate’s POV
For a split second, everywhere became silent. My heart thumped hard inside of me as my body shook in terror. Sweat trickled down my eyebrows and a cold shiver ran down my spine as my muscles tensed immediately. I gazed hard at Mrs Liana who was already red in anger, fuming like a bull who glimpsed a red cloth.
“Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh!” She let out a scream, dragging all the attention to her. I could see the shaken expression on everyone’s face. Even without their lips actually moving, I was certain most of them had already concluded in their minds that I’d kiss my job goodbye. There was certainly no redeeming this.
Even Brianna had her eyes widened, glancing at Mrs Liana and then at me. She knew I was done for as much as I already knew.
