CHAPTER 1

Today is the first day of class and this year is my last year in college. I’m a werewolf and yes, werewolves go to school. This is a human school though. I’ve been living with the humans for almost ten years now. It’s never easy to blend in with them most especially if they get into your nerves.

I passed by the corridor and saw another poster posted on the board. Another missing person huh? Yeah my bad. That b***h tried to kill me because she thought I was flirting with her boyfriend. That’s the problem with the humans; even though powerless, they’re as possessive and as delusional as werewolves.

For over ten years I can’t remember the number of people I killed. But with the help of my witch friend I was able to keep my little secret but not for long.

I’ve been a rogue for as long as I can remember and I’m always updated with the activities in the werewolf community.

And just recently I heard that the werewolf king is stepping down the throne and give the crown to his son. I also heard that once the new king is crowned, he will extend his land to the far-east including the area I’ve been living on.

Royalties, packs, laws; I hated them. I have always been. When you have the authority to rule, everyone will come after your position. I’ve seen it. For so many years I’ve seen how they killed everyone and anyone just to get what they want; POWER, THRONE.

“Good morning beautiful.” an arm snaked its way to my waist pulling me closer to his body. Tsk. Humans are as horny as werewolves. Now, I wonder if they were made that way.

I turned my head and looked at my so-called “boyfriend”. That’s what he’s been spreading around but as a matter of fact I just kissed him once and then it turned to twice, thrice and more. But that was just making-out. This stupid human is hoping to get into my pants but HAH!!!! I only let you kissed me filth but that doesn’t mean that I will let you claim my body; as if a human can actually satisfy me. I’m shewolf for f***s sake. Human s*x is no match for werewolves’ hot s*x.

“Good morning Shane.” I greeted him back. He had that satisfied look on his face as if he just won a lottery. Slowly, he leaned his face to mine planning to give me a kiss; good thing I saw Alexia walking down the hallway.

“Alexia!!!!” before his lips could touch mine; I pushed him away and ran towards my bestfriend.

“Hi. Let’s get to class.” Alexia had that confused look on her face and as she looked passed me she finally understood my intention.

“Alright. Let’s go.” I gave her a sweet smile and pulled her towards our classroom.

“Humans sucks.” I simply commented. I can feel Alexia frowning so I glance back at her and I was right.

“That’s not for you to say; you fell in love with a human once.” hearing that my mood suddenly faded from hundred to zero. My mood’s turning dark and I don’t feel like going to class anymore.

“Okay I’m sorry. Me and my careless mouth---hey where are you going?!!!” I walked out of the school ignoring Alexia’s calls.

I need to go for a run. It’s been months since the last time I shifted and my wolf is getting crazy. Falling in love with a human only brings pain. I’ve seen it. Living this cursed life is the price for all the lives I took.

As I walked farther from the school, I inhaled the air and let the scent of nature fill in my nostrils. At some point it calmed me. I took a cab and went straight home. I live with Alexia for as long as I can remember. We live in an isolated part of the town surrounded by trees, almost an hour-drive away from school but if we use Alexia’s witch crafts or if I shifted into my wolf it would only take less than ten minutes to get there.

Most of the town people are afraid to go near our property. They said the land was once owned by a vampire named Dracula and a wolf shape shifter, thus, making the land haunted. I almost laughed when I heard this story from the man who sold us the property. I mean I know humans are superstitious but I wasn’t expecting it to be this serious. Alexia and I took this as an advantage so we could hide our identities; me as a werewolf and Alexia as a witch.

But not everyone is afraid of the land. Some youngsters would go ghost haunting or vampire hunting and some would try to sneak in to our house and steal from us but they all failed. We live deep in the forest and I must say that our house is really one of a kind.

Alexia made a trap or I don’t know. In other words she used her witch tricks to make various forms of monsters and scare all the trespassers. She calls it ghost prank or something like that.

People are asking us if we ever experienced out of this world occurrence but they had no idea that we are part of that “out of this world thing”.

When I arrived at our property, I tossed my bag at the veranda and shifted into my wolf. Sigh. It’s been so long since I last felt this good. I continued to run until I reached my favorite place. A hundred miles away from our house is a small cave. I mean the entrance is pretty narrow that it requires a person to crawl its way inside but after thirty minutes of crawling is a lifetime of paradise. In the deepest part of the cave is a waterfall and the brightness of the sun that shines through the walls of the cave added the beauty.

I discovered this place five years ago and I’ve been hiding this place since then. I don’t want the locals to disturb this beauty; never will I let them lay a hand on my Celestina. Celestina means heavenly and that is the perfect name for this place.

I covered Celestina’s entrance with a bunch of bushes so if anyone accidentally comes to this place they would think that this was just a bunch of bushes or trees. I also asked Alexia to put a barrier around it so no one, including the supernaturals can find this place. Only Alexia and I knows about this place and we made a promise to each not to tell a soul about our Celestina.

I crawled inside Celestina naked and every time I step on a sharp rock, the wounds would automatically heal after three seconds. When I reached the heart of Celestina, I dived into the water and let myself relax. This is so good.

I continued to swim until the sun has set. I decided to go back home because I know Alexia is probably there already. As I came out of the cave, I shifted into my wolf but then a sudden noise had me on alert. I shifted back to my human form and heightened all my senses.

I heard a rustling sound and my eyes grew wide as I recognized what it was.

“Lycan.”
