Screams fill my eardrums. People running helter-skelter to safety as if there's a blazing fire at their tails. I can't make out what is happening around me, my head feel clogged, like I'm in a state of trance, but I'm still in motion. Just not on my feet, I'm on a piggyback ride, the person skipping through so many stairways with me on his back. There's a sudden darkness in my eyes. Only the screams of people resounding and filling my eardrums. And I'm startled awake. I throw my eyes around, and it takes a minute for me to sit upright. My head aches badly like it's about to split into two halves. The dream. . . It felt so real, my heart still pounds from the aftereffect and there's a bead of sweat trickling down from my forehead.
