I began my stride down the sidewalk, not met with a single smile from the people passing by. I was not surprised. It may have been Christmastime, but it was still the Monday morning after a major holiday. I checked my watch and flipped open my folder to reference a map, looking between it and the environment to triangulate my position as I walked. Okay, there’s S. Grand Avenue. Take a right.
