Episode 5: Shadows of the Past

Months had passed since Detective Alex Thompson and Detective Sarah Monroe had thwarted the cult's attempt to unleash the Shadow King. The city had returned to its normalcy, but the memories of their ordeal lingered in their minds.

"This must be the original text from which the grimoire was translated," Alex said, his eyes wide with excitement.

Using their knowledge and the help of a linguistics expert, they began to decipher the manuscript. It spoke of a prophecy, of a chosen one who would harness the power of the Shadow King and bring about a new era of darkness.

They realized that Ethan had believed himself to be the chosen one, the one destined to fulfill the prophecy and unleash the Shadow King upon the world.

Determined to stop Ethan from carrying out his twisted plan, Alex and Sarah set out to find him. They tracked him to an old abandoned church on the outskirts of the city, where he had taken refuge.
