Before I knew it the ten minutes of reading time was up and teacher was dismissing us from book club for today. Jerica and I headed to the parking lot were Jake was waiting on us. I quickly hopped in the back with a quick, “Hey Jake!” and locked the back doors so Jerica would sit up front with him. She actually got in the front this time without an argument or snide remark to me or Jake! Maybe he was finally growing on her!
