Ariel POV
I ran into the room and locked the door. The way his eyes looked at me was terrifying. I never expected things to change this way, and despite knowing that Maximus would never hurt me, at that moment I was really afraid of his actions.
I slumped on the floor and held my knees tight to my chest. I have always been a tough girl, but in the past 24 hours, I have become a crybaby. Tears just keep coming out of my eyes helplessly.
I have no idea what is going on, but I can hear furniture trashing and things breaking down around the house. Every loud noise made me shiver, like a scaredy cat…I have never been more out of my element than how I am right now.
I am a f*****g warrior princess, and angel for that matter…I rejected him, and I know that all this mess is somehow my doing,
