Chapter 6

For six more days, Khizo trained with Kota. Kota taught him all the techniques and tricks useful in combats. By the end of his one week training, Kota was satisfied with Khizo's progress. "So what will you do now?" Kota asked, the night of the last day. They both were, as usual, sitting on the top of the roof. "I'm leaving for Asjata tomorrow. My first target is King Vostok of Asjata. He killed my latter family. He deserves to die first." Khizo stated. "So you're going to infiltrate into caste? I know I trained you well but you won't be able to do this without one more training." Kota declared. "What training?" "You need to learn how to climb." Kota said, "Come with me. We'll pay a little visit to the Church." "Church? For what?" Khizo asked. "Just come with me." Kota said climbing down the ladder. It was very late at night and nobody could be seen except for the figures of Khizo and Kota walking to the church near Kota's house. Kota carried with him a crossbow while Khizo was holding a bolt and a rope hung from his shoulder. "We are here." Kota said once they reached the church. In the darkness, the details of the church couldn't be seen very well but Khizo could make out that it was high.  "You'll have to climb to the top of this church." Kota instructed. "Top? But that will be very high." Khizo shuddered. "I don't want to listen to your excuses. You have to learn how to do it." Kota declared. "Now the first step is to tie your rope around the bolt. Make a tight knot because your life will depend on that knot." Kota ordered. Khizo did as he was told, tying the knot extra tight. "Good; now aim for that cross of the church," Kota said, pointing to the cross, "And shoot." Khizo carefully took the aim and nocked the bolt but his first shot missed the cross. He dragged back the bolt with the help of the rope and then fired again. This time, his aim didn't miss. "Good job. Now climb up to the top." Kota guided. Khizo gulped before starting to climb up. He clutched the rope as tightly as he could with his hands and pressed his legs to the wall for support. He then slowly started pushing himself forward. It almost felt like walking on the wall after that. As he continued his climb, his legs would often slip and whenever that would happen, his heart will freeze for a moment. He would grab the rope as tightly as he could after that before mustering up the courage to start climbing again. Slowly and slowly, he was making his way to the top. However, he was just about to reach to the top when he made the mistake of looking down. As soon as he did, his legs started shaking even more. A fall from that height would leave no chance of survival. "Don't be afraid. Just go on." Kota shouted. He took a moment for himself before continuing his climb. After a lot of struggling, he finally reached the top of the church. And when he did, he gather up more courage and sat on the top of the church, waving down to Kota. "Wow! You did it!" Kota yelled, sounding as overjoyed as Khizo. "Now, how do I get down?" Khizo asked. "Same way as you got up." Kota replied. Khizo grabbed the rope and then started descending down. Going down was easier than getting up and he reached the ground very quickly. "You did it." Kota hugged him once Khizo was down. "Now, can we please go back home? I am exhausted already." Khizo requested. "Not so soon. Do it four more times." Kota said. "Four more times?" Khizo cried. "Do it." Kota commanded.  "Fine." Khizo sighed, going at it again. By the time he had done it four more times, he almost collapsed to the ground. But repeating the same task four more times had made him master the skill of climbing. When he did it the final time, he didn't even show any hint of fear and climbed up with the quickness of a monkey. "You need sleep now." Kota said once his practice was over. "I surely need some." Khizo muttered. Kota had to drag Khizo back to the house. As soon as Khizo arrived back home, he passed out on his bed. Kota, realizing that the next day would be a busy day for him; didn't disturb him. Kota went to lie down in his bed but a thought kept him awake. Khizo didn't had any experience when it came to a dangerous assassination like this. True, he had inherited great skills from his father but Khizo's father didn't depend only on his skills. He would combine his skills with his experience while carrying out such deadly missions. But Khizo didn't had any experience. He couldn't let Khizo die like this. After thinking about it for a long time, he decided that he will accompany Khizo on the mission. Kota couldn't fight but tactics was his speciality. While working with the Kodus Warriors, he didn't take part in any mission. But they would come to him certain times seeking a plan. Perhaps, he could guide Khizo in and out of the castle. With the decision made, the tension lifted off and sleep finally claimed him.  The next morning, both Khizo and Kota remained sleeping till late. It was Khizo who finally woke up and for the first time, he was the one to wake up Kota. "Wake up, Kota. I have to leave for Asjata today morning itself." Khizo said, shaking Kota's elbows. "Wait," Kota woke up all of a sudden, "You're not going alone. I'll accompany you." "You'll go with me? But you can't fight." Khizo reminded. "I can't but I can guide you. It's just that; you won't be able to handle it alone." Kota said. "I certainly can use your guidance. So if you want to come, you can." "I'll get myself ready then." Khizo left him in his room and then got himself refreshed and wore a clean black outfit. He then went to check on Kota but found his room locked. He decided to utilize the time waiting for Kota to practice some of the moves he had been taught by Kota in all those days. However, he was interrupted in the middle of it by Kota. "So, you are practising? I see." "Yes, I was passing my time. So, shall we leave now?" Khizo asked. "Yes, let's leave now." ------------------------------------- Khizo hopped on his horse and then cleared some space for Kota. They both had to share the same horse since Kota didn't had any horse of his own. Once they both were settled on the horse, Khizo placed a scarf on his face to hide himself and then they both set off in the direction of Asjata. Trouble was now heading towards King Vostok. Khizo's blade was about to bring death to all the wrongdoers. The blades of death will spare no one.
