When Yarrow had arrested Frankie Starling for the murder of Peter Cushman, Frankie had expressed regret at the death of Rose Palmer saying, ‘I’m dead sorry about the lass though, Rosie, that were never meant to happen, I hope you know that?’ before adding the cryptic remark, ‘And I didn’t do Tennyson Macaulay, neither.’ ‘Sorry?’ Yarrow had asked, puzzled by the strange remark. ‘Work it out for yourself.
