Detective Chief Inspector Albert Blundell found guilty of all offences following his trial.A Jury yesterday found DCI Albert Blundell guilty of corruption, accepting bribes whilst in office and misconduct in public office.
The trial was held at the Sheffield Assizes Quarter Sessions and lasted for more than two weeks. Large quantities of cash were found hidden in Blundell’s home, cash he could not satisfactorily account for.
Blundell is being held in remand whilst awaiting sentencing.
