My name is Victor Trusov and I’m a fine art portrait photographer from Moscow.
I ventured into photography around 9 years ago when I was a university. My father used to be a professional photographer so we had a lot of film cameras at our home. He gave me his best camera, which was a Praktica MLT-3, and I started taking shots of my friends and surroundings.
Soon after, I realized that I like taking portraits more than other types of pictures and I stuck to that. It was a great experience… At that point, some of my friends started asking me to do their portraits. And then their friends started asking, and so on. I think I’ve done more women portraits just because men weren’t as much interested in participating in portrait photography and my personal projects
