“You didn’t think I’d leave you to die, little lamb.” A familiar voice resonated in my ears.
Why was I still thinking of him when I was seconds away from agony and death? I had to snap out of it and get this all settled so I wouldn’t become a roaming spirit in this dark territory.
“Snap out of it,, Lilian.” I slapped myself as I tried to set my head straight. “He’s cruel; he’d never show up to help.”
