Ch. -5-

My mouth is so dry. My head pounds like crazy and my eyelids are too heavy to open.  I turn to my side and realize I am not in the aircraft anymore. I stretch my legs and yes, definitely not in the aircraft anymore.  “Did you really got drunk before an important interview?” says the low and rough voice somewhere in the room.  My heavy eyelids disappear and and my eyes fly open.  Everything is dark and it takes my eyes some time to adjust to the darkness. I am in a large room with big heavy drapes all over. I suppose there are windows behind them but I don’t have much time to concentrate on that thought.   In the corner just couple of steps away sits a dark figure. I cannot make out his face but I get the feeling he is not here to be my new best buddy.   “Maybe I always get drunk before work,” I say proudly. But I probably should climb down from my high horse and focus on the fact that I was kidn*pped. Panic starts to crab me by my throat but I try to stay calm, try to hide the fear in my eyes.  He rises from his chair. “Put that on and follow me,” he throws piece of clothing at me and starts walking away from me.   “What the f**k!” I yell cause I realize that I am wearing literally nothing. NOTHING! “What kind of p*****t farm is this?” I shout after him.  I have to admit that I am a lot scared now. Hung over from alcohol and sedative, naked and scared. I slowly try to feel my body to see if the bastards r***d me. Luckily other than the killer headache, everything seems to be fine.   “Coming or not?” he basically growls with his dark eyes staring straight at me.  Vicious debate in my head doesn’t do any good for my headache but I have to make a decision. Whether to follow the goliath or stay here and wait.   But to wait for what? And for how long?   If I go I might get little insight what is going on and why would somebody want to kidnap me.   They didn’t r**e me so maybe they are not interested in me. Maybe I am just a bargaining chip or something. Girl has to have hope.   “Fine,” I say while wrapping myself in the silk robe that was thrown at me.  I see him unlocking the door and walking out into the longest hallway I have ever seen. And to my surprise everything is very light and bright on the other side of the door.   I cover my eyes because the brightness hurts my eyes and I need a second to collect myself.  As soon as I step outside from the dark room warm breeze caresses my skin and I realize we are not in Tahoe anymore. To be honest I am not sure if I ever landed in Tahoe.  This is all on me. If I had paid attention instead of deepthroating champagne maybe I had noticed something was off.   I hate lying blame on me but I don’t see anyone else raising to the challenge right now. Maybe the flight attendant could be blamed. She obviously had a hand in it but it was my hand that grabbed for the drink as soon as word champagne was mentioned.  I step in the hallway and instantly stop in front of the window. I am looking at the gorgeous garden filled with colorful flowers and trees. In the middle of the garden stands large outdoor kitchen with enormous pool and tanning area.   Definitely not in Tahoe.  I snap out of my thoughts and hurry after Goliath.  We take several turns and descend a stairway. This house is like maze. I wouldn’t be able to find my way back even if I had a gun to my head.  Suddenly he stops and knocks on a huge carved wooden door. Even the door intimidates me and I am afraid for what is inside.   “Come in,” says the somewhat familiar voice on the other side.  Goliath pushes the door open and there he is. Sitting on the leather Chesterfield and looking straight into my eyes with a smirk like he owns the place.  Chills run down my spine.  That can’t be him.
