Queen

SAMANTHA'S POV I groaned, slowly reaching for my phone on my nightstand. "What the hell do you want?" I asked irritably, closing my eyes as I spoke to the person on the other line. I was supposed to rest today after completing a mission for Grandpa last night, which kept me out late. [Queen! Get up. We have a fight tonight, remember?] Damn, I almost forgot. "Oh, yeah... and I just got home an hour ago. I'm tired. You can go without me, bring Janelle and the others. Bye." I said, then hung up without waiting for a response. I sighed heavily, letting my hands drop beside me. We'd been planning this fight for three weeks, and I was exhausted and lazy. I didn't feel like showing up. So, I guess this is the part where I share my background info? My name is Samantha Elise Gonzales, I'm 17, and I study at Hawthorne University. I'm the granddaughter of Alfredo Gonzales, the mafia leader of the top underground palace. My grandfather has led and run the entire realm himself for the past 50 years. He's the one everyone fears – except me. The person who called me earlier was Cris Sanchez. We've been friends for a long time, and she's incredibly loud. It's cliché, but we formed a gang many years ago, and I'm the leader. Almost everyone knows us because half the people in Country A frequent the underground palace – either for gambling or illegal transactions, which is strongly disapproved of by underground leaders, including my grandfather. I'm too bored to talk about myself. I just enjoy smacking someone's face and ruining their careers when they're jerks who don't know their limits.
