The sound of the doorbell filled the room, dragging me out of sleep. My eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the dim light in the room. Beside me, Bella let out a groggy groan, her body shifting slightly against mine.
“Why is someone at your door this early?” she muttered with irritation. “You’re not owing anybody money, are you?”
Her sleepy complaint drew a low chuckle out of me. Turning on my side, I tightened my arm around her waist and pulled her even closer, her soft warmth pressing into me.
“Whoever it is will get tired of ringing and leave eventually,” I murmured, burying my face in the curve of her neck. The subtle sweetness of her skin filled my senses, making me close my eyes and inhale deeply.
God, this is going to be my new addiction.
“Good morning,” I whispered again
