I got off work earlier than usual and decided to use the free time with Logan, who had somehow managed to avoid me for the past few weeks. His smug, annoying face had been strangely absent, and I wasn’t about to let him get away with ghosting me. He suggested we go swimming, and I agreed. But tell me why this man went ahead and reserved an entire pool—a whole damn pool—that could comfortably fit a hundred people. And he booked it for just the two of us. Dramatic much? I changed into my swimsuit, a black one-piece with a teasing cut along the side of my hip. As I adjusted it in front of the mirror, my fingers brushed over the tender spot just above my hip bone.
